This is the overall problem you get when your police department/force is "Locally hired". They will hold allegiances to the person that pays their salary over their duty to apply the law, without fear or favor. Your local government matters the most (state, county, town, district) a lot of people fail to realize that. The things that affect your everyday living have to be a priority as well when voting.
