Thats one nice ambulance - would love to own that and convert it to an offroad survival camper, would be nice to paint it in camoflage / olive green but would also be cool to keep it like it is. Think how people would look and think when you drive it down the street or highway :D
As far as i am aware, they will give an export licence to most EU, Commonwealth countries and the U.S.A., i believe they may already have rubber on the tracks, at least most of the videos i have seen the CVRT have them.
All track vehicles these days do have rubber pads, in most European countries they must be fitted otherwise they can only be used on country tracks but not on metal roads. As far as I am aware the UK is the only European country that allows civilians to buy and drive on the public roads with cat "H", Germany has no "H" and so can't drive other than military on the roads. Not sure why
Anyone can buy... but some vehicles cannot be exported outside the UK. A UK Driving licence gives you provisional entitlement for tracked vehicles... which can be driven on UK roads.. generally as long as they are not over width and have rubber pads on the tracks. A simple test can be taken to give you a full category "H" tracked vehicle licence.
Hi... CET FV180 has rubber pads on the tracks as standard ! In this country the license for tracked vehicles is not related in any way to the weight of the vehicle... ie you can drive any tracked vehicle no matter what the weight is !
The CET lot no 265 is now with Bond timber in Cornwall, we had a viewing of the vehicle on the 10th may , we decided not to purchase as it was just a bit to wide to get through our lanes
Is there a possibility to export for example a CET FV 180 to Austria With a correct driving license for the weight, disarm it and give it rubber tracks?
Dunno about grabbing a bargain! Most of the stuff they sell they want plenty of money for certainly never seen any bargains in my time going to the tenders!
It is sad to think all these machines were built for the purpose of some people having superior power over other people. If only the money could have been used to benefit humanity. I note the fire engines and rescue vehicles. They are exceptions.
i have lots of military truck collections im here in mars i will conquer other galaxy.. who want to join with me.. i will be the king of the universe wahaahahahha
Glad to see the MOD getting rid of the armoured death traps!!!!!!!
Hi... yes all CVRT's have rubber pads on the tracks... unless, of course, the pads are worn away !
Oh yes love the stormers at 0.30 secs . Cheers for uploading this clip .

Agreed Bruce. Its such a waste. I'm a pacifist but I do find the engineering that goes into some of these "war" machines fascinating. Regards Paul
