Nice video! I picked up Wampler Ratsbane, a RAT clone, before Christmas. It‘s a very solidly built, and it has allowed me to explore high gain sounds.

Thanks! I was looking at the Ratsbane recently too. I ended up trying a Mooer Black Secret instead because I wasn’t sure if I’d like the Rat sound and wanted to save some money. It turns out I love it haha. I shot a video with it yesterday that was a lot of fun. Definitely a fan of that sound!

@@onemoreguitarchannel I got a great deal on one around Black Friday. I‘m enjoying what a RAT can do.

I really liked the "Funk #49", when you first turned on the "fat" switch that was the first song that popped into my mind. Question, does these distortion pedals need to be played at a certain volume for it to be significantly noticable or for it to showcase it's qualities? I don't play very loud and my Marshall DSL5C or Roland Blues Cube Hot seem to do alright with just the controls already on the amp. I got a Ibanez TS9 which I never use because I probably don't know how to adjust it so It could be used at low volume. Do you think that it justifies spending more money on a certain tube screamer when there are many cheaper models out there that may be and sound just as good?

Thanks! I never sit around and play that song but it seems to pop in my head when I’m making videos haha. The trick is finding the right mix of gain and volume on the pedal. I like to mess around with the gain until I like the way it sounds then adjust the volume to the point where, when I turn the pedal on and off it’s the same volume. Then, if I feel like turning the pedal on loses some of the prominence of the clean signal, I will boost the volume some. TS can be a little tricky because of how they boost the midrange. Sometimes they sound better in a mix than by themselves. As far as spending more, not really. They are all very similar. I got this one because it was based on a TS10 and had the extra switch options. There are a ton of good affordable clones that will give you a typical TS tone though.

I’d love to try one, I don’t know if I could do it justice though haha. I’ll see if I can get my hands on one.
