- Nobody has made a range video for Louis since Four was released, so I threw this together.
Some of the notes, especially in his upper range, are unison with other boys (i.e. Little Black Dress with Harry, Don't Forget Where You Belong with Zayn). Rest assured that Louis is definitely still in the mix, even if his voice is not the loudest.
As a singer, he has a pretty good voice, he is so talented and he's usually thrown in the back by the band. I honestly can't get his notes, my voice cracks when I try it. I personally think Louis has a unique voice, I don't think One Direction would be the same without Louis, he carries every damn song.
that's honestly so true.. one direction would not sound at all the same without louis. he gives the songs a little harmony.

+triskelionitis YES! I think that he carries the band in harmony, and he has a unique voice he can does these low notes so well live, I actually can't do it I try to sing he's parts but I can't hahaha
Well harmony makes little things grow :) and his normal voice is really high its even higher than zayn and he doesnt need to sustained to hit highnotes not like the others. What i like about him is his A4 in over again and moments he carry the choruses, his C5 in Rock me and also his high notes in back for you, love you goodbye, end of the day, dont forget where you belong, etc. and i dont understand why many people said he cant sing :/ ... what if louis use his falsetto im sure many fans are dying to hear that

I know he can go higher just based off of the fact that he's a tenor, and I just want to knowwwwwww!!!! His voice is so unique and carries emotion so well. I really hope it's featured more on album 5.

He is already going extremely high. C5 without switching to full falsetto is higher than most tenor singers can reach.
Also the fact that he can get up to a C5 (C#5) without transitioning to falsetto is pretty impressive and says a lot about his real range
+Melbourne Shuffle you mean mixed voice? because a lot of singers can hit a C5 without transitioning to falsetto. Both Zayn and Harry can do it. Harry is still a bit of a stretch though
Except it's not all that impressive, especially for tenors.
He is a Tenor, his Voice is naturally high. How about a Baritone Hit A5 without Transition to falsetto. Like Geoff Tate from Queensryche? Or Chris Cornell?? Try Listen to Geoff Tate "Queen of the Reich"

Louis voice is very unique.. when i first start listen to 1D songs louis' voice was easy to recognize while the other boys have similar voices... louis really get my attention i love him alot...

When I heard 1D song for the first time back in 2011.Louis got my attention coz he has a unique voice or let us say an angelic voice.And I do love him.
Louis had an angelic voice but i think the band thrown him in the back they didnt even turn up louis s mic when his singing on stage harry is the one who tell to turn up louis s mic up do thay why haters say that he cant sing manangement dont want to have a black mail for the boys but they are the one who making it so when somebody turn up louis s mic we are so amazed by louis s voice and we can hear him clearly yess we can hear him on stage but not clear and his mic is very low so thats why hat
January Rose Resurreccion they don't tell him to turn His mic up. Usually it's to do with there inears, so he's telling them to turn up Louis vocals in his ear dead so they can harmonise better.
I'm sure he can get higher than a D5 cuz he's a light tenor, but then again they probs just shelf him
he is not a light tenor imo......he is a countertenor.........cuz he hits some really high notes in the album songs

he 100% holds back vocally because he knows what he is and isn’t comfortable with and he doesn’t want to run the risk of ruining his voice, which is understandable, but it would be nice if he did do something unexpected every once in a while (like the belted b4 at the end of the bridge of end of the day or the falsettoed/head voiced bridge of defenceless)

there are many songs that you didnt add. His A4 in moments and over again, his high note in clouds i think that is C5 or higher than that,his high note back for you...... But what i really like is his A4 in over again.

It makes me sad because more times than not- especially in LBD- they throw another boy in they know has a louder, more prominent voice than Louis does to hide his voice.

His voice is so unique and as far as I know in music, he can even go higher with some training. He sounds quite comfortable while singing such high notes. Also, the fact that his voice which is high pitched can go to the second octave is like great.

One direction fans really like him better than Zayn? The C5s are produced as shit (also neither are sustained) and the second one is in between actually a Bb4 or B4 at highest. Zayn hits a C5 in his sleep, and goes up to Eb/E5 sustained belt, and I believe B5 enforced falsetto, Louis doesn’t have an enforced falsetto
