Working with those dowles up so high must kill your back. I'd cut those things the f off and tell the engineer to get bent lmao. No need to have the dowels up pasts the first 3 courses. After that just install rebar at every grout lift.
good job man I like your video you are showing people how is the block layer work 8 hours a day all the week not like some layers try to be too fast then what? dirty wall . okay keep the good work and try to stay away from them f 12"block
Block are great for houses. In Florida most houses are built with block. They stand up to hurricanes and floods. Stop bullets. And stay cool in the hot weather.
Izman speaks Truth...in Florida it's Code because of hurricanes, wood framing is ok in states that don't get the storms we do but they can get tornados..and neither block nor brick is gonna stand up to a direct hit by a tornado...it's a cost issue...will a structure hold in tornado prone states...a direct hit by a good sized tornado will demolish block or brick but yes a block home will hold up a little longer and maybe those extra minute or two would be enough to save lives...it's a personal choice by the homeowner....
Question: Foam board insulation is usually put on the outside of the framing if it is used. What if you wanted to use it with block? Would it be ok to put it in the middle like: concrete block>foam board>2x6 wall with R-19 if a home owner could afford it?
Pay must be fairly well cause the unspoken rule is the trowel size depends on the pay...try to pay a Mason shit wages you'll get a margin trowel lol:))
Bub u big guy n all but keep trowel in your hand don't set down time lost n repeat usless motion to pick back up 72lb if concrete heavyweight looks good tho
Setting your trowel down does not slow you down enough to the point where it makes a difference. I set my trowel down every time. I’ve been laying splitface twelves for the past 3 months and I’m still pounding out close to 150 a day. Also he’s laying twelves over double rebar that’s above his head, he needs to try to hold on to his trowel too save time? Get out of hear with that bs
Buen trabajo amigo yo también soy blockero saludos de tijuana
There is something artistic about watching an expert lay concrete blocks.
This man is not an expert.
J Henry Fine - then prove it. Show us a video of an expert then.
@@jhenry8077 Asserting a Masons skill level by a 3 minute video shows your lack of expertise...

Attitude dictates altitude you keep believing in yourself and in a month/year you'll be Top Dog Sir!!
How much do them blocks weigh? 15 - 20 lbs.?.. You should be able to move faster than that.

@@izman20 Faster! Faster!😲😅
Wonder if this would be suitable to build a house ? Are they too big or perfect since planet getting warmer 🤔

Slow, didn't spread cross webs to contain grout, slow skim spread. Mortar cut to ground bad. Laying 12" block as a team is faster.
"I can't see anyone else working, therefore no one else is on the job." Are you really this dense? Like, you can literally hear other people working.
I'm a commercial Mason in Ohio & this Dude is slow as molasses...LAME
Way too slow
