Great video but you forgot Chatsworth was the adult film industry capital in the 80’s-2000’s! 😅

Grew up in old porter ranch, lived in Chats. for many yrs. It was always a quiet corner ofthe valley.
Around 2014 I left, crime meth homelessnes made it a lousy place to be not to mention overpriced
Id never move back. Last time I drove the 118 3 yrs ago there was more trash on the fwy than Tijuana it was disgusting.

You know I have to mention that, at least in the 70's & 80's? Chatsworth being the capital of boom chicka bow wow movies. 🤣❤️ Chatsworth is awesome. They have great parks too. For real. Keep them coming, Pearce! 👏

Chatsworth, the porn capital of the world. Its a pit these days, such a shame. 70s and 80s that end of the Valley was the best place to grow up. Before the 118 even better.

I would steer clear of Chatsworth because of Rocketdyne site .....Seriously read what happened there in the 50s .

Thank you for mentioning this. The relevant Wikipedia article is "Santa Susana Field Laboratory". Severel critical nuclear reactor failures, including a core meltdown. No containment structures, since the reactors were considered experimental. Big yikes.

@@goblowirt1792I've read the Wikipedia article as well.
Apparently, there was a study that showed that residents living within 2 miles of the lab were 60% more likely to be diagnosed with cancer than those 5 miles out (stating that the lab isn't necessarily the cause).
Of course, use your own intuition but from what I'm seeing, I should be fine where I'm living. I think there are many other things more likely to kill me sooner.

The areas you mentioned north of the 118 is Porter Ranch and not chatsworth

porter ranch is such a small, newer neighborhood made up mostly gated communities, I have always considered it more of a large housing development than a separate neighborhood tbh lol. I would say it is fair that he mentioned and considered all of that business on Rinaldi in this video, its a less than 10 min drive from the official boundaries of Chatsworth!
