1970 Chevelle Installing Sheet Metal Part 9

  • Continuing on the 1970 Chevelle, I install the deck lid and the right side door. When dealing with aftermarket parts, it's usually a challenge to get sheet metal to fit correctly and this is no exception. Even though the deck lid is original, the replacement quarter panels are aftermarket. Next comes the door to deal with.

    Cant watch enough panel adjusting videos. Its important job. And sometimes very tough job. Thanks for the tips.

      You are correct. Dealing with aftermarket parts gives another level of frustration. Also no job is ever the same when it comes to panel alignment. As always thanks for watching

    would have been alot better had you installed the rear quarter panel,good work Greg

      Actually the panels fit good overall. It’s just the stamping isn’t perfect to get nice lines. Thanks for watching Richard

    Pretty common on aftermarket quarters/fenders to have to cut a slit down, move the edge over and weld it up. pain in the ass but aftermarket is never that great.
