I have been in contact with The C Ex about problem late payers. Here is what they had to say...

I feel like the CX are being disingenuous with you. They don't take poor payers, or poor feedback seriously. There is a lot of really incredibly poor feedback where there is zero excuse for the CX to have them on the platform!
If you look at the revoked members list - they've revoked just 12 memberships in the last 6 months - that's an average of 2 a month. I would expect most, if not all of those, are where the companies have ceased trading and gone into liquidation!

Ok, a few things here AND can others also comment with their thoughts.
      1) Poor feedback can be late payment. DIFFERENT to non payment. Not right but people still get paid. Not saying all those people should still be on platform. In my opinion everything case by case I think. Somewhat agree here with you.
      2) REVOKED means CX terminated their membership. I will try and put this question to CX.
OTHERS THOUGHTS ON THIS PLEASE ***HOT TOPIC***

@@andyandhisvan My feeling is that where companies go into liquidation, completely stop paying their invoices, and this is brought to the CX attention, and where their membership has not expired, then they revoke - closing the stable door after the horses have bolted, if you like.....
With respect to poor feedback, this will usually relate to payment - - probably usually late rather than non payment - but late payments will often be an early warning sign of companies in trouble. Filtering feedback to read negative comments will usually give a flavour of why people are leaving negative feedback.

Well, if people are foolish enough to work for those with more than negligible negative feedback and not recognise the risk that really is their lookout. (Sorry if that sounds harsh - but others leave feedback as a guide)
It's a toughy but as drivers we don't want every load poster with just a bit of negative feedback removed or there would be significantly less work for all.
In fairness to CX they don't have a crystal ball. Like us all they won't realise there is a problem until a shipper stops paying people.

@@andyandhisvan I kinda agree - I don't bid on work for shippers with poor feedback. Usually. However, it's not always easy - when a job is posted on CX, I feel you often have between 60 seconds and 120 seconds to get your bid in, or you're likely to miss out. It's not a lot of time to deep dive into a shipper, and work out all the nuances of your bid, perhaps whilst driving at the same time, especially if the 90 day feedback displayed isn't as bad as the other time frames.
Sure we don't want every shipper with some bad feedback removed, but that just an excuse that absolves the CX of any responsability to remove any shippers, regardless of how poor their feedback is. There are so many shippers on the Exchange who should be nowhere near it!
The CX knows there's a problem when shippers stop paying people, we generally only know there's a problem when they stop paying US (or someone we're in close contact with)! The CX should be aware long before the majority of drivers!

Well, personally I would never drive and bid.

Good luck with late payers some shipers just don't give a shit there's to many cowboys on cx and some of the good shipers just don't post that much on cx like they used to there's loads of new
So called shipers iv notice this having been on cx2yrs my advice try work for 5 or 6 shipers who are good to you were posable

Hi Ivan, thanks for the advice. I've only ever had one person not pay me at all.
Most people are quite good but what annoys me is the ones you have to chase.; especially when they expect us to be on time
As I have said a polite email usually works but it's just the aggro you don't need after a long day.
I am somewhat reassured that CX themselves are keeping a beady eye on non payers but I have to say some of the load posters have ghastly feedback that I stay away from.

If that happened to me i will be gutted because you are delivering the job and dont get paid!. CX can do better then that i guess.

Hi Miguelho, thanks for joining the conversation.
I got stung on only the 2nd load I did on CX (but I've done hundreds since). It was a 5 mile trip in my hometown, which I was really only doing for the feedback for quite a small fee...
The person who was meant to pay me had okish feedback but between then and my supposed payday seemed to go a bit rogue and left the CX.
I put in a payment dispute and had a complaint upheld against them by CX. Now, I could have taken the shipper to court but for such a trivial amount I had better things to do with my time having just started on CX.
What annoyed me most was the scumbag never left feedback!!!
The CX were sympathetic, but unless you want to pay double for your membership we can't expect them to chase evert unpaid debt. They do, however, seem to take non payment seriously and that person is no longer posting loads as they left CX.
I would heartily recommend taking non payers to court and either get the money or the satisfaction of a CCJ (county court judgement) against them...Just on this occasion it was for such a trivial amount it didn't seem worth it and most importantly they had left CX so cannot damage us as drivers further.
