Bruddah Sam... thank you for another awesome reaction to Lucy Thomas. This song is part of her 'journey' from childhood to adulthood. She re-used B/W footage from her 1st video at age 10. Now, 8 years later, she has matured into a beautiful person inside and out. Her voice is magic, it touches people's souls. Theme in her 1st video was 'run' and she was on the beach running and writing in the sand. Now, she is leaving footprints in the sand. And how amazing being able to incorporate turning 18 into video by writing it out in the sand.
Every new song is better than her last. I too get emotional listening. So much what she sings about touches all of us in different ways. This is her 3rd big hit in 2022 already. You have to believe that her 4th big hit coming soon. Can't wait... I love her music.

No one can top Lucy for perfection in their singing, of course she has had voice lessons for many years, but she has been blessed with that beautiful voice by God. I have heard it described as angelic and I completely agree with that description. It is so rich, warm, and soothing that it is very calming to me. I have found myself listening to Lucy's songs whenever I am stressed out, or have had a bad day, 8:43, and the benefit to me of listening to her music is best described as spiritual. Good reaction, Bruddah Sam! I like how expressive you are when you are listening to the songs. Would you translate the Hawaiian comments that you make sometimes? That is such a beautiful language! Wonderful to see your reaction as always Bruddah, I teared up too when I first watched/heard this.
I prefer it to Leona's version, more emotive and less vocal acrobatics plus the sentiments of the video showing the clips of her as a young child from her first ever RUclips upload singing Run by Snow Patrol when she was just 10 years old. She's grown into a beautiful young lady with in my opinion the best voice of her generation 💕

If you search carefully in the internet you will find a video of hers at age 8 singing " colors of the wind" ...really very cute. ( Even at this age her pronunciation was perfect)

I agree... Lucy's version is better than the original recorded by Leona Lewis in my professional opinion. Lucy's version of 2 songs recorded by Whitney Houston also are better than the originals. Singing styles change over time.
The original artists are very good singers and can do things with their voices that are amazing. That style set them apart 10 years ago. Some call it 'vocal gymnastics' and it can actually detract from performance. They are singing and sliding between scales, that doesn't add anything, it takes away I feel. Lucy has taken those 3 and made them her own.
She sings in a refreshing and calming way that touches your soul. Her music is timeless, and in 10 years it will still be as relevant as it is today. Her multi-octave vocal range, her power, her perfect pitch, her physical performance all add to her music and she delivers hit after hit.

Lucy is one of the top 3 singers on You Tube, particularly her original songs- too bad the play “Rosie” never materialized. Starlight, Suddenly ,Gentle Breeze, One Day. Review these songs unique to Lucy as no one else sings them I don’t think. Be AMAZED by her talent
Musical was on hold due to Covid. West End Theater in London is active now. Hope they can get 'Rosie' the musical on stage this year.
@@SJR_Media_Group Lucy has matured so much over the past 2-3 years. when she sang “One Day” her strong accent came through, unlike the other 3 major masterpiece songs. My guess would be she re-record that one. I don’t think the others can be improved upon. Do you know what age (range) Rosie is supposed to be? Lucy’s looks older when using lipstick & at certain angles. When she turns 18, at least, some of those strong love songs she sings will be more realistic (not quite the word I’m fishing for) to the older generation. To just listen to her voice, the songs are timeless.
@@RustyB14 I'm not sure how old Rosie is in script, I thought she looked too young 3 years ago when she recorded the original songs. She is 18 now, matured vocally and physically. She looks like a young woman, instead of a child, or teen. Hope they can get it on stage this year. Covid did them a favor by allowing Lucy to develop into what she is today.
Every song she releases become instant huge hits, especially over last 12 - 18 months. Her 4th album in the works. It would be nice to re-record some of her older songs, but it is time consuming and expensive. I lost count how many songs are over the million view mark, but a lot.
Lucy is number one as far as I am concerned. No one can perform or deliver anywhere close to her style. Her music touches your soul, you become emotionally invested in the song.
'Hallelujah' was the first song I heard. I never heard anything as good before or after, no one ever will. It is pure vocal and performance magic.
@@SJR_Media_Group Lucy seems to sing Run to You with the same voice inflections as Whitney Houston, and with Martha maturing, The Prayer is such a great female / female duet. Lucy is a natural for show tunes.
@@RustyB14 Lucy was made for this, a voice so powerful, so pure, and delivered with so much purpose. Martha has an excellent role model to follow and has found her own voice. In last 4 or 5 months from her duet at Christmas to now, she has really matured vocally.
Both Whitney and Leona have amazing voices too. But they added so much 'extra' vocal acrobats it takes away from the song in my professional opinion. Lucy has taken songs from each and made it hers with Lucy Thomas Music magic... golden vocal cords and brilliant performance and stunning delivery.
