Canada's response is 100% warranted to most of us in the USA, too. We are rooting for democracy and respect our neighbors, even as we watch ourselves being held captive by madmen with second amendment obsessions here at home.
So true. “No amendment is absolute,” in the great words of Brandon. At least we are making headway on getting around the 13th amendment by using illegal immigration.
What Canada and Mexico should do is establish a free trade agreement with Europe or China and drop the unstable USA as a trading partner. I’m sure China would love to use those auto factories in Canada and Mexico!

So the carbon king is going to put a tariff on American juse that we drink instead of telling china that canada is no longer allowing the chemicals from there
We did this last time. Canadian tariffs are imposed on readily sourced alternatives. Canadian whiskey vs Kentucky. French's ketchup vs Heinz. Canadian wine vs California. Consumers have a choice & they'll probably choose the lower cost Canadian alternative or a non USA import.
@@misterfunnybones So what you're saying is tariffs work to shift consumer habits to buying domestic options and away from foreign ones? Guess we're vindicated in imposing our tariffs on Canada and Mexico

What? lol, with many countries having detached themselves from the dollar in the last 2-3 decades, not a disaster for the world economy, just for US economy.
@@suicidalbanananana We really don't though. Everything Canada offers we can make ourselves or source elsewhere, it's just easier to get it from Canada. Choosing the easy path is what led to the systematic destruction of American manufacturing, this will force our companies to build and produce in America, lest they go out of business due to high costs. Canada on the other hand needs the American market to turn a tidy profit on its goods, it has no other land border to ship goods across, it's us or the sea.
american here. Canada, feel free to crosscheck us

Doesn't sound like you are respecting "Democracy".
Don't worry, your products with tariffs will still be cheaper than made in America

Already been negotiated - speaking here from the EU.
Mexico sell drugs and Canada sell oil to China 10000 miles away.
