Perfection at last. No music, clear speech, to the point, informative, good volume, no BS, easy to listen to voice, no uhs or ahs etc., just perfect! Thanks!
Great introduction, I know most of the basics but I enjoy your classes because you explain things in detail and a way I would explain to other students.
I watch Eli's blogs almost everyday, but I am just coming into the Arduino tech because of Eli. Thank you Eli, for continuing to make videos that eventually got me interested enough to go play with my own Arduino.
Eli, Thanks for the "Big Picture" introduction. I have been roaming around for a few weeks now, not knowing if Arduino was what I was really what I was looking for. There is nothing more disappointing than to invest time and money into a product , only to find that it wasn't what you expected. I did not realize the depth of what Arduino has to offer. Thanks for setting me straight. Glad that I found your program.
The nice part about this video is that it gives the information in detail & not a haphazard ous manner. Look forward to learn a lot more. Thanks for making & sharing this nice video!
Thanks,Eli. I’ve just purchased an arduiano uno and I’m looking forward to following your channel. New to electronics I’m a retired aircraft mechanic and just trying to learn something new and challenging. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to following your videos. Thanks Artie 👍
thanks for the memories and this little video series always watched ur videos and strived to be like you a little bit everyday now I know how to code am starting cisco stuff firewall and what ever comes next after iot and all that stuff. Thanks for bein there ever since I was on youtube and watching cool vids have a cool life and I will definatley be joining u at ur new site!
I subbed. thanks for this. lol I'm getting an Arduino starter kit for Christmas and it's been a while since I've touched one so I figured I'd touch up. good intro video!
Great introduction for the first class Eli, I'm glad you are using this structure to teach. my starter kit arrived yesterday but it's branded Genuino. it may be a silly question but is there any difference between Arduino and Genuino? looking forward to the next class
do a google search... not being snarky, but there seems to a big hubadoo on the subject. "Much of 2015 has seen the open-source board maker defending itself from its former manufacturing partner, which recently claimed ownership of the brand, launched its own Arduino product line and website, and worked to bar distributors from buying Arduino products from other manufacturers." ... it's too late in the day for my brain to sort this one out...
+Shane Davis No, there are no differences. There were some months, where the founders of Arduino had some beef and therefor there were some copyright and brand-issues. And while that period, one of the founders has produced and sold the Arduino (afaik) for Europe and Asia under the brand Genuino. But because the board itself is Open Source, its the same board, but with a different brand. After some months, they came together again and I think, Genuino will be history, soon ....
Hello, Eli. One or 2 weeks ago you were advertising Facebook videos as an alternative to RUclips. I don't have the highest speed but the videos of a lower quality on FB are very choppy comparing to any RUclips ones. I saw a lot of complaints in FB help community. Why do you think this is happening?
Greetings, excellent video and perfect to help me understand a good picture of the Arduino system, being that Im very new, but ambitious. Can a 32" LG monitor be used with arduino?
Do you own any of the elenco Bajillion-in-1 kits like what you used to find in radio shack or their newer "snap circuits" these help to understand the wiring diagram of an arduino. Also if you could name drop atmel who makes the processor in the arduino and compare their data sheet wiring example to a wiring diagram of an arduino it would teach everyone a lot.
Would you say that for someone to get started ,getting the starter kit and the programming book will have everything i need for a beginner level??Thanks in advance!
you use the boards to develop a product with the abilities you want... then you design a finished product with only the components you actually use... so a prototype will be an ugly half foot tall stack of shields... but then you design the finished product to be a single board and have a manufacturer create 100K of them...
But who do you think is good in great north Canada to get some of the parts Suggestions? using Amazon now and it is like you said not sure on what you get
cool stuff. can you plug it into LCD TV or what, what can you plug it into? what would you need for that Arduino board? thanks for reading. hack safe bro.
You can also go to tinkercad.com which is free and created by a major company (Autodesk) - they have a narrow range of components but it's enough to get your feet wet into the world of electronics with the arduino (Complete with it's programming and libraries), the breadboard, and all the many various electronics. Out of the 15 sites I've tried this is the best one and best of all it tells you if you screwed up and destroyed your virtual component (with say too much voltage or throughput power) and overall you can build some intricate stuff with little to no knowledge of hardware or software electronics at no cost and without the stress of trying all this out in real life for the first time and not know what your doing. My first arduino project which controlled an LCD character screen with remote control interaction was done through many many hours of trial and error through this site which helped me learn all about the arduino, and the very basics of electronics and circuitry. Would highly recommend.
I am enjoying, for the most part, your vids, but sometimes I find you talk so fast I lose sync with what you are saying. good thing I can replay it. thanks

network drive on android
It was just what I needed. Best intro video on audrino that I have seen so far.
I watch Eli's blogs almost everyday, but I am just coming into the Arduino tech because of Eli. Thank you Eli, for continuing to make videos that eventually got me interested enough to go play with my own Arduino.
Eli,

glad you are back on youtube. you always explain things well. I just happened to get a starter arduino kit, and was lost. not lost now.
Thanks,Eli. I’ve just purchased an arduiano uno and I’m looking forward to following your channel. New to electronics I’m a retired aircraft mechanic and just trying to learn something new and challenging. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to following your videos. Thanks Artie 👍
... make sure to go to EliTheComputerGuy.com... not only are the vids there, but pictures, wiring diagrams, and code you can copy/paste...
Very cool, good to see you back Eli. BTW check out the closed captions on this video, one of my cats turned them on and they're hilarious!
Thank you for explaining this so simply. Been scratching my head wondering where to start and you gave me direction.
hello Eli, English subtitles/closed-captions is very useful for non English speakers.
0:01 Actually I did not know you were Eli the Computer Guy at that point.
Excellent explainer!
Nice video which teaches the basics without the irritations I have seen on other sites
I appreciate your teaching approach sir. thank you
All your intro tutorials are always well structured and easy to digest. Great job and thank you!
You answered every question I had< love it when I stumble across your videos when I dive into tech I don't know about.
Perfect timing ! We're building an arduino project with a team in my local fablab. A fully automated kitchen garden. I'm kind of excited
Thanks, happy I found this video.. I'm a teacher and I would like to expose my students to this level of coding. To the point.. Love the visuals.
thanks for the memories and this little video series always watched ur videos and strived to be like you a little bit everyday now I know how to code am starting cisco stuff firewall and what ever comes next after iot and all that stuff. Thanks for bein there ever since
I was on youtube and watching cool vids have a cool life and I will definatley be joining u at ur new site!
This is a fantastic tutorial for beginners. Highly recommended.
Well done Eli, from IT to basic embedded systems, welcome to the other side!
You said it ! " A lot of people get very confused".
For an intro video that was very comprehensive. Thanks Eli. Looking forward to more arduino videos.
As usual Info very appreciated Eli!
Can You read the ads quicker?
BREATH!
Loving this video, I hope you will continue making more videos such as this.
I watched other intros on Arduino but you really have a way of explaining really clearly and completely....now "I know Kung Fu!"
guy, your style is just perfect. thanks. i hope to see more tutorials from you.
Fantastic clear voice, love your vids at last I may be able to learn Arduino
Thank you, really appreciated the education
Excellent introduction. I will follow your other tutorials.Thanks.
at 30:48 .......DAMN!!! I like that site. thanks for showing it to us.
Excellent introduction to Arduino! Thank you. You made a new subscriber with this video.
Post more vids, Eli! This is some good stuff. You're pretty good at explaining things. Your vids are a help!
Excellent Arduino Introduction Video. Thanks for sharing Eli
I subbed. thanks for this. lol I'm getting an Arduino starter kit for Christmas and it's been a while since I've touched one so I figured I'd touch up. good intro video!
thank you for a wonderful intro to arduino sir
Spectacular intro!! Thanks so much!!!
Goob job! :) Keep it up!
A brilliant and informative video!
Loved this video! you explained everything and answered every question I had (and didn't know I had)
Watching this is really hype. Should I buy one? I know basic Java and C++
Eli you remind me of a good friend by the name of Robert the great! Very smart guys. Thanks for the tech information.
Well done! Absolutely correct - go over all the basics first!
Very good and detailed introduction video!
Good job, great info presented in an easy to understand format. Thank you for your time and efforts sir.
Love your videos ELI, THANK YOU SO MUCH !
Thank you, Eli
great job explaining thanks a lot, and great wall love how the world map is on the wood
Leaving comment to help feed the ducks. Adafruit has many arduino type maker tinker SBC boards. I run a remote greenhouse with them and Pi's.
Thanks man!! Great vid. I have an arduino and now info!
Wish to understand the kind of AB that may be suitable to send MIDI Input from 13 keys without extra Shields.
Thank you mate. Great video! Thumbs up
Thank you. Very good introduction
Learnt something today thank you !!!!, instead of the rumbling of crap.

Thanks Eli, I think my query was probably insignificant, the kit obviously works the same. Time for some shut-eye here too. see you on the next vid👍
Eli the Computer Guy can you connect it to a pc ?
Yes, you can and should connect yore arduino board in order to upload yore code. It uses USB port on yore PC.
I'm gonna start learning Arduino and eventually build my own robot or modify an existing Arduino based robot platform
Eli explained well

simple and clear, thank you sir
23:57 Locaked :-) Great videos by the way.
Thats really gotta be the longest sponsor list I've ever come accross.....I forgot where I was.
glad you are tapping to IoT
Legendary Status
Greetings, excellent video and perfect to help me understand a good picture of the Arduino system, being that Im very new, but ambitious. Can a 32" LG monitor be used with arduino?
Do you have a full arduino tutorial as the videos are not numbered.
Great Videos as usual
that Arduino uno isn't an official Arduino because of the 'green ribbon' under the usb connector
Eli the science guy

bald man good at computer
Thank you very much for the insight... :)
Would you say that for someone to get started ,getting the starter kit and the programming book will have everything i need for a beginner level??Thanks in advance!
Good video!
you should have a patreon page
This is so goddamned cool!
No additional class for me.. i will only listen to u.. yerep
What are you exactly are you trying to build with the ardunio Eli?
24:50 the box is locaked...what’s locaked? I think u mean located.....
Thank you!
Your almost to 1million subs
Please Mr Eli what do you mean by people using the arduino boards for prototyping. I wasn't clear on that
you use the boards to develop a product with the abilities you want... then you design a finished product with only the components you actually use... so a prototype will be an ugly half foot tall stack of shields... but then you design the finished product to be a single board and have a manufacturer create 100K of them...
Thank you . much better. Been watching your videos all the way from Nigeria for a while now. You are really great. Thanks
But who do you think is good in great north Canada to get some of the parts Suggestions? using Amazon now and it is like you said not sure on what you get
what's the name of the book in the kit?
Are you talking in mirror rather than on camera placed nearby ;)
cool stuff. can you plug it into LCD TV or what, what can you plug it into? what would you need for that Arduino board? thanks for reading. hack safe bro.
I mean, maybe there's some sort of HDMI/video output module...?
So modules are strictly better shields or what?
Just bought a 90 dollar starter kit, down the rabbit hole I go...
"the box is Locaked"
Good advice: getting a starter kit.
I didn't, and now I have about $400 worth of miscellaneous stuff, and I needed about $50 worth. ;-)
What starter kit would you recommend?
@@xMistaDawg I haven't auditioned them, but I started with a Dr Duino kit. I've had to buy more stuff, sure, but it got me g.
how do you learn code for Arduino
y u no rant eli? tech videos nay rant videos yay
