You're 100% right, Cohh. The oil basically just coats your skin as you break the surface (especially because of the increased surface tension of oil vs water). I had something very similar happen when I was in the Navy and doing maintenance in a partially flooded tank with a mixture of seawater and JP10 (missile fuel). Nasty skin irritant, too.

This is definitely the most critical I’ve seen anyone be of this game, which is a bummer for me, because I’m so in love with it. I think it just comes down to suspension of disbelief, and Cohh has less of it, which is totally fair.
Agreed. And also it’s important to note cohh is stick. Take it from someone who’s been watching cohh for 7+ years, cohh is 10x more critical when he is sick.
Same but also got to remember that Cohh is now an co-owner of game publishing companies and game producer. Most probably he is now trained to be more critical on a lot of things when gaming. The way he is approaching many game recently reminds me of how a QA often does when testing a build.
I mean... So far so good in terms of immersion. Its kinda weird that he expects logical human behaviour from what appears to be a monster reduced to basic instincts. With some semblance of a memory of a person it was...
His criticisms are valid but they're kind of ruining the playthrough, very hard to get inmersed and immersion is key in these sorts of games. I feel like the issues and criticisms he has with the game should be spoken about in the thoughts vid.
It’s very unlike him, too. This is the guy who normally says, “I’m okay with some jank in my games” and “I just focus on what I like in a game.” Imagine if this sort of magnifying lens was applied to Starfield or Cyberpunk on launch day. 😅

as Cohh gets older he seems to get more nitpicky with games.
kinda knitpicking now, have you never seen something being stuck and after trying multiple times with impact (so no long pushing) something just suddenly slips loose that previously just bend. I might not know you that good but i know you mostly try to get the most out of a game, i guess its also the sickness talking as being sick makes at least me very irritable and tired.
