The DNC needs to get rid of the "my turn" mentality that got us to this point.
Yupp! It’s not “your turn” it’s democracy! It’s time that they fucking learn it! Joe has to go!
It's a club and you're not in it.
Amen!
@@tysonvslewis12The DNC, in my opinion, has a duty to give us a nominee that is fit for the job, Biden isn't.
💯 that mentality is what brought us the disaster that was Hillary who lost to a stooge like Trump
Does any liberal take Scarborough seriously anymore after he basically called campus protestors terrorists?
Liberals maybe, progressives no
Joe Biden does, apparently
snap snap yes your right. and ignoring so many people got slaughtered with the help of Biden.
Why would us liberals care what a Republican thinks?
Nobody from the actual left takes liberals seriously....
It's wild. All of these people acting like we couldn't see this coming for four years, five years now.
The democrats hubris and need to cling to power till death costing us our democracy? Who could have seen this coming!
Actually, he was much better four years ago. Mental decline is a slowly advancing, and people close to the affected are often in denial or making excuses on behalf of the person in decline.
We saw it... they didn't. Which is why they think WE didn't see it coming either.
How could we lowly leftists see something that political insiders were blind to!?
They're surprised that everyone's 9th pick in 2020 is unpopular. They fought progressives at every turn and here we are. Don't get it twisted. Scarborough is not a Democrat, he's just anti-DT. I'm sure he'd be on the Nikki Haley train if the Republicans hadn't kissed the ring.
Much better but the point is we could all see this coming

He called middle eastern people vermin basically. I'll never get over that.

if Biden hadn't been so arrogant as to announce he was running for reelection a long time ago, he could have graciously stepped aside and allowed enough time to build momentum with a new ticket.
Biden knows that you will vote for him no matter what. What incentive does he have to make any changes ? 🤷♂ If the 'progressive left' is excited to vote for the corporate centrist warmongering zionist, he has no incentive to change anything about his policies.
This is true and it is infuriating. It's even more infuriating that there is nothing in that observation to help advise our way forward. All it does is add to the suck.
Yeah, it feels like trusting people to ignore the incentives that go along with power to act for the greater good is a poor way to run a political system. We have a similar thing in the UK where many roles basically have the power to impede democracy and cause constitutional crysies, and the 1 protection we have is convention. Why is this just built-in? For instance, the king technically has the power to deny the PM an election. The queen even enacted said power in the 1970s. Lords (of the House of Lords, our equivalent to the Senate) are appointed by the PM in the same way SCOTUS judges are appointed for life by the president. I don't really understand how these mechanisms aren't obvious safeguards _against_ democracy.
I agree with you 100% been saying that he should have never went for a second term!!,,, but his hubris and selfishness and ego did not allow for it
@@jrzygurl He went for a second term, because he knows that you'll run to the ballot box to *vote for him* 😉
I love how Joe has to make the CEO comparison, as if being the president of the United States didn’t have enough of its own gravitas 😂 and ffs, anyone who can claim they “love” the sitting president and that they are family friends or whatever should NOT BE ON A NEWS NETWORK. There is a fear that dumping Harris would anger the black democratic base and many would sit out the election, giving the Presidency to Trump. I favor an open primary if Biden can't go or is forced out.
The problem with Jamelle Bouie is that he is ignoring that the whole reason we are having this discussion right now is because the Biden administration decided to have a super early debate specificly because it was in trouble. Things were not doing all right and THEN he had a bad debate. The debate was a hail mary that failed. Racial sensitivities aside, Harris can not be the nominee-for the simple reason that in almost 4 years as VP, she has failed to distinguish herself as a leader with a solid following. That was not the case for Biden under Obama, or even Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of State. For the good of the country (as well as her own political future) she should step aside.

I agree. I feel like there are any number of people they could choose to replace Biden that are almost sure-fire wins over Trump. Two exceptions to this are Hillary and Kamala. I mean, they *could* win, but the odds are against it.

I will also add that I am African-American, and I would NEVER vote for Harris. Too many African-American leaders are trying to frame this situation as one where it will be seen as racist if Harris is not the replacement, but I don't think these voices actually speak for the majority of African-Americans. Kamala is loved by black elites (who many of us despise), Howard university grads, members of the AKA sorority, and a few others who attended HBCUs, but this is a small minority within the African-American community. The rest of us are keenly aware and resentful of hr history of getting black men unfairly or disproportionately incarcerated in California, and she's very disliked among many African-Americans for that very reason. To us, it made perfect sense that Biden (who we also see as racist because of his voting history and dehumanizing of Palestinians) chose her as VP. You're imagining it. You must be delusional and you need to see a psychiatrist. He's fine. Thank you. Love from the "Democratic" Party
If you've lost Joe Scarborough... well, you've lost Joe Scarborough.
They waited until it was too late to realize they were wrong, I mean, what's the worst that can happen now?
Newsome handled himself strikingly well on Fox.
Oh no, the Joe's are fighting.....🥱🥱🥱
It's Not you It's Me! Aren't they doing a virtual Convention?
The notion of VP being the backup or 2nd string POTUS is a shaky assumption. They're not elected directly, they get appointed to a ticket and are widely not considered to be a difference maker election wise.
Just consider Tim Kaine's role in the Democratic party, Mike Pence, John Edwards, Sarah Palin, etc. For every Al Gore or Joe Biden you have VPs who aren't heir apparents so to me it's not crazy to look past Kamala Harris.
I need to be with someone whose brain is not leaking out of his ears. Sorry!
I broke a 2 month long alcohol sobriety streak bc of how bad his performance was.
I just kept hearing Matt Christman going thermonuclear "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UUPPPPPPP OH MY FUCKING GOD" during that Morning Joe clip
The solution is simple: Biden bows out and endorses Kamala and throws her his delegates. (Has to be Kamala and done that way or the internal fighting would be harmful.) Obama and others jump on board. The convention goes beautifully. Kamala gains ground in the polls, as people become more familiar with her and, also, she is a much better speaker now than she used to be. She has a better chance of winning in Nov., against Trump than Biden.
Delusional. She's not popular even with Democrats. No chance
Scarborough lost all credibility
normal liberals are freaking out. BIDEN SHOULD STEP DOWN
Biden knows that the 'liberals' will vote for him no matter what. There's no incentive for him to step down. All he has to say is 'Trump bad', and the liberals will get into a tizzy.
The convention is too late. They need to declare someone for the Ohio ballot BEFORE.
Biden must step aside, for the sake of the world he must go 🇬🇧 🌍🌎🌏
Lol not how they do things in the US. There, they cling to power until they die. I'm surprised Mitch McConnell decided to retire after only 237 years in office. Diane Feinstein died in office. Ruth Bader Ginsburg died in her position too.
Lol a potential open convention, in Chicago with anti war protest. What is this 1968? 👀💧💧
This is the worst segment I’ve ever seen you guys do
Seriously. This was one of the worst segments b/c of the light gaslighting by the guest. He’s obviously a Harris surrogate and masking it behind “we’ve never done it before”.
They have always been the best cheerleaders for the corporate centrist Democratic Party. Glad that you're finally seeing it.
@@QuilishWammy I don’t catch every segment. Wanting Kamala to be the nominee is absolutely wild to me
My cable company cancelled the comedy channel so now I watch Morning Schmo.
This dude acting like he doesnt realize... people dont like Harris... people dislike her... so she quite possibly is the only candidate worse then him.
4:08 who? Who? Who? Who? And who?
'Mourning' Joe is soooo full of himself. That said, President Joe does not look like he is all there. Trump is not an option. Senator Chris Murphy would be a good choice. Harris will not beat Trump.
Jamelle has to be stone faced because he can’t criticize his colleague publicly
Will dems lose black voters if they pass on Kamala? Probably. Will trump gain racist/sexist voters if they go with Kamala? Probably. Based case scenario is keeping Joe as the candidate, even though I might even prefer Kamala. I think his debate performance is overblown
Racism is there, but misogyny is still the much bigger issue.. I hate to say this, it’s archaic, but Trump must be defeated..
It has to be a man if they make a change..
biden's performance would make a cadaver look lively by comparison. How is criticism of that overblown?!? 🤣 that man PROVED to the whole world that he is unfit to lead (and can barely string together a sentence) and anyone who can't see that is in a pathological state of denial.
She's not popular even with Democrats
You overestimate black people's regard for Harris. She doesn't represent black people or advocate for black issues. Nobody's thinking about her.
It should be bernie sanders, he was the most popular candidate before the shady shift.
I don't want another 1968.
Harris should NOT be the standard bearer bc she's a terrible candidate. Initially, in 2016, I was for Kamala. Until i saw her perform and she was AWFUL. I'll grant that she's improved since then, but she's too big of a risk to go against Chetoh Mussolini.
