Can’t believe it’s the end of Rally Japan and 2024 season 😢. What are all the Rally Fans going today until Monte 2025. Thankyou all at Dirtfish for your dedication. All year.
There are still a couple of F1 GPs... Even Kalle Rovanperä did already a test drive on RB8 F1 car.... (as this year he had the time/chance for it too.) And also a great success in Formula Drifting (Japan and DMEC) and Benelux Porsche Cup. - That would be something, if he would be the first WRC and F1 champion. 😮
@@BonoBronckat least F1 has become somewhat entertaining with Red Bull falling off the pace. The F1 Constructors Championship has ended up being a good 3 way fight. 2025 in F1 and WRC should be entertaining.
Thank you DirtFish team for your phenomenal WRC coverage throughout the year. It’s probably the best and most intimate coverage in all of motorsport. I can’t thank you enough for your incredible hard work through the years. You make these events so much fun to follow.
What a way to end the 2024 season! 🫨 Another year comes to an end, and we'd just like to thank ALL of you for watching our WRC coverage this season! We hope you've enjoyed the videos, what's been your favorite moment from 2024? And what would you want to see from us in 2025? Only 8 weeks until we do it all over again in Monte-Carlo 😋 but we have so much content on the way before then - We'll see you there 👊
Thank you guys for entertaining us with amazing coverage , behind the scene stories , and everything else . You are the best . From Belgium with Love 💙
I only started watching rally this year, and you guys have been a huge source of updates on what's happening both on the road and behind the scenes. Thank you for the great coverage for the whole year!
I still cant get it how much people around the world ignor this kind of motorsport... what a pinicle... fight until the end... WRC deserve much more attetion then is got... you are making this better of course! Thx DF team! What a job!
The points system and the Hybrid everyone hates, played their part in getting us to maybe the closest manufacturers final ever and also another crazy drivers championship. I ll miss the hybrid honestly, and I ll also miss any driver we wont see anymore. They all deserve more, but so do the top WRC2 drivers.
What an absolute nail biter. Ott losing his win and manufacturer's win must have been crushing. He had it in the bag. But that's what good sports is all about; crazy drama and the unexpected. Mainly glad Thierry won finally and if Hyundai doesn't do rallies next year, at least he got what he finally wanted. Bitter sweet 24 season.
DirtFish, thank you for your unwavering passion and enthusiasm in providing the best coverage of WRC and WRC2 available anywhere in the world. Life is sure to feel dull without you until the 2025 season kicks off, but in the meantime, enjoy your holidays! P.S. I really wish DirtFish had a similar channel for F1! :)
I'm sad about everyone hating on the points, Its understandable, but lets at least admit they delivered the best championship in years. Hopefully any changes will be a good compromise.
Agreed. I’ve been saying this all year. The new points are about making the championship better. The championship is a season long effort and should be expressed as a combination of ENTIRE rally long efforts. Nothing changed with how a rally is won or who gets stats for rally wins. Who cares if the rally winner gets fewer points than someone actually fighting in the season long championship and pushes on Sunday when the part time rally winner doesn’t care to do so.
Thank you Dirtfish for this brilliant coverage and entertaining content all through the season, what a treat to the rally community! An indispensable companion every weekend, a big part of keeping the WRC exciting to follow. ❤
A great big Thankyou Dirtfish team for your dedication, implication, for bringing to us all these videos, interviews, bloopers and all ! See you next year at my home rally 2025 Monte Carlo ! What an exciting 2024 season it's been !
I really hope this isnt the last we see of Andreas in the top category. Hyundai made a huge mistake with their 3rd car this year. Having Amdreas who was out of the top category since 2020, had never driven a Rally1 car, to put him under that amount of pressure, it was just stupid. But he showed what he can do in this rally, sure he had that mistake hitting the tree on Friday(I believe) then going just a bit too fast into 1 corner on the power stage but with the weight of the world on his and Thierrys shoulders, so much pressure this weekend and yet Andreas delivered. With the cars not being hybrid from next year, so lower costs, Hyundai could have 4 cars every rally and swith the points scoring rounds between Fourmaux and Mikkelsen. Thats what Id do at least. I know theyre neither confirmed ar Hyundai, Im just saying I would hire both for a full season and have them split the points scoring rounds, Thierry and Ott scoring all rounds, Andreas on 7 and Adrien on 7
Great job Dirt Fish. Always look for your content on rally weekends. This weekend I was checking back with trepidation that Thierry wouldn’t have opportunity to clinch the championship. Great that he did. Will miss for the next eight weeks or so Ott pretending he doesn’t see or can’t hear Colin, while parked pre stage. Congrats also to Adrien on a breakthrough season. Hope he sticks with M Sport; new regs in 2026 - just imagine… Voice of rally and David Evans, thank you…
Ott must be absolutely at rock bottom.. To throw all that away. He needs to be looked after imo.. I feel for him. Such fine fine margins. Makes today such an exciting day in WRC.. Well done EE for leading the Toyota team home. A superb measured sophisticated drive while others suffered "bad luck". Brilliant all round.
Rough for Ott indeed. But he will be back, he is a fighter (always has been). The guys at Hyundai know this as well. He has the talent and the pace to be world champion (he has shown it in the past with his WRC title) and there were definitely moments throughout this season where he showed that he will remain a strong title contender in future seasons. I'm also glad to see Elfyn finish a 3rd strong weekend in a row, after those rough rallies in Latvia, Finland and Greece. It should give him a confidence boost for the start of next season.
Ott should feel bad but Hyundai lost the title because of Thierry’s turbo. Thierry only getting 6 points on Saturday is why Hyundai lost. Ott crashing wouldn’t matter had Thierry been where he was supposed to be.
Brilliant Guys !!! Grrat footage and commentary throughout the season, funny, and entertaining also. Let's get Rallying back on the map again, it's something we've all missed. ❤
I think Takamoto should stop trying to outpace the top drivers and start focussing on the consistency again. He did exactly that in 2022 and that was a good season for him, where he looked like a good asset to his team.
Best finale because of Sunday points. I've supported the new point system all year long, but it constantly gets hate. This structure makes Sunday crucial and allowed a great driver to not be completely screwed because of a turbo issue on Friday.
The end of another year of Rallying. Thanks for all that you the "Dirtfish" team have done and brought to us armchair viewers and followers. Have a nice bit of down time over the comeing festive period but even that's not very long as the Monte Carlo is not far away.
Amazing coverage chaps, WRC just wouldn't be the same without you. I know you probably all need a little rest now but I can't wait for the next 8 weeks to pass and to see how the cars/teams perform without hybrid. Truly hope Formaux stays tho!
It would be good to do a video on behind the scenes with one if the teams on how they transport all there team cars and equipment etc and how they get from country to country etc
Always a happy day when the paper plate brand loses. In japan to the Japanese no less. Here usually the hyundias are the ones running into the back of other people's car, nice to see it the other way around.
No where near as good as 2001 Richard v Colin v Tommi v Carlos. Especially as in the in the middle of the night half a world away from Rallying's homeland. I was not awake to see a single stage. Shockingly bad calendar. The WRC needs a total rethink, 2 + 1/2 teams and 1 about to leave for the WEC where the other has dominated for many years. Rally 1 cars are a joke that need to be dumped.
The coverage Dirtfish provides absolutely made this entire season.

Why Dani Sordo wasn't at i20N wheel this weekend? 3 PTS only, with Sordo driving the last two rounds, the story could be different for Hyundai.
So happy for Thierry
