Thanks for sharing DD33. I too have dealt with immature girlfriends, and even at 22 I am fed up. I too became a Christian, and I met a great girl in my church. Since you believe in God you could attend a local church, and who knows you would find a God-fearing partner who doesn’t value short term highs over long term value. I recommend it. Maybe God intended it. It’s also good to hear u are leaving Texas and going back to hunting and family which is what matters most. I was going to say, why not come to New Zealand. There are nice faithful people, more deer and goats and pigs than you could imagine, there are no predators since we are the predators. The climate is perfect unlike Texas. The South Island you would love. The stags and fallow bucks are a unique change to muleys and whitetail bucks.

We are programmed to crave connection. You do need connection to be happy and survive. You may not need romantic love, but familial and friend connections is incredibly important.
Do what you need to do for yourself. I am not going to give you the whole "there's plenty of fish" speech. It can be incredibly frustrating when you thought you've built a life for yourself with someone only to have it come crashing down around your ears. I'm happy to hold space for you to feel that grief. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing that you are a real person with us.

When I was 25 I had a situation similar to yours. In a nutshell everything fell into place for me when I moved back home to Georgia. Moving away grew me up for my next phase/chapter in life. Im sure things will work out for you .

being content with being alone is very lucky! im very luckily super comfortable with having no partner i think because im young i just want to enjoy life when im young and settle down once im older. im able to enjoy myself and be happy by myself or at least with out a partner, i feel like its good to be comfortable with that kind of thing.

I understand both sides i am a woman and in my 20s and i really dont feel like having kids
I understand being with the party all the time girl, it was one of the main roadblocks me and my ex girlfriend hit, eventually leading to our breakup after 5yrs. Im very introverted and dont like it, im also a security gaurd so i spend alot of time dealing eith drunk people, didnt want to spend my freetime dealing with drunk friends and my partner of all things. She never could understand it and in the end would be little me for it, so like you i had to cut her out of my life, hardest thing ive ever done in 20yrs on earth so far, for such a dumb reason. Truly wish you the best DD, you seem like a genuine good person, which is rare. Your life story/personality is very similar to mine, so i understand your thoughts on situations like these.

DD33 I'm almost 50 (old) and really haven't came from much. A lesson I learned is looking back only brings darkness and the light is always in forward. Fixing the past is done by making your future better. I would recommend looking in to Jordon Peterson older stuff, his early podcast with Joe Rogan were enlightening even for me. His 12 simple rules book while dry at times is very helpful. Remember Life is a Journey
