Just did this on my ‘61 Scout 80. Manual choke Weber 32/36. I didn’t have those bolts for the adapter to the manifold and had to take an angle grinder to the factory studs!
It's a good practice to lightly sand (on a flat surface) the intake manifold adapter piece on both the carb side and intake manifold side before installation, as the casting is usually not flat...
Thank you for sharing, got a 68' , wanting to do the same thing, but I was wondering if I could buy the carb and "make it work".... thank you for showing us the orientation of the carb to the motor and all of that. I will be going the same direction as you, looks good ,nice video .. running would be even cooler..lol thanks again.
Did you have to change the pedal and linkage due to fit or you did it for the looks? Im trying to minimize the changes so if the current pedal works I would like to keep it.
It’s been awhile but iirc the new linkage of the carb wouldn’t easily work with the stock setup. Don’t remember too many specifics but that was the simplest way I could come up with
I switched over to a universal wiring harness so I had a wire ready for it. You could always lead it to a switch at the dash or look into how to wire it with your ignition.
