I confess, based on your mature gameplay - your measured tone and demeanour - I'd imagined you somewhat older. Great knowledge on display here, and it's nice to see your face. Even if you make the antiquated among us geoguessr players self-conscious ;) ~ Pardalote
For me it often comes down to 'learning from my mistakes'. If I see a city name on a billboard and don't know where it is, I try to actively remember it for the next time. Doing this every single time I play GeoGuessr or look at Google Maps/Streetview and recognizing the (smaller) ones I didn't recognize the first time, keeps expanding my city name knowledge.
I haven't really studied a lot of place names and subdivisions outside of Europe apart from some things I picked up with GeoGuessr, but I'll definitely take a look at such quizzes!
Here i thought i was decent at countries and maps, then this dude can name and remember exact placements of norwegian cities better than i can as a norwegian. Did not expect this kind of knowledge ggs❤❤
Enjoyed this video a good amount! I do have to mention though, the way you pronounce Rs in city names is very distracting. I don't mean to be rude, just giving some feedback, I hope that's okay. It worked for Dutch, German and French cities but when you stuck to that sound in Spain, Italy, Norway, Russia and others it was very strange. They, and most of Europe, use a rolled R. You'd be better off sticking with an English R sound rather than the French one you were going with.
I just randomly stumbled upon this video and this question is even more random but: where are you from originally? I'm always trying to get better with accents but your channel says "Netherlands" and I was so certain you were Danish. That is all 😂😅
I am indeed from the Netherlands, but I lived abroad for a few years and have spoken English during/for education, etc. since I was 7 years old. Hence why it may have ben a bit harder to recognize, but the accent is definitely still there!

How have you learnt so many cities? I find they don't stick in my head unless they're something special eg capital or provincial capital

That bit of North Holland still has a bit of Amsterdam inside of it (North and the harbor area). Would be my guess.
He typed Amsterdam. I think it was Alkmaar.
It turned out to be IJmuiden!
@@GeoStiino Really? I thought Alkmaar is larger.
