Thats a good insight into the robustness of camera being dragged over surfaces and interesting to see the fish . I didnt realise cuttlefish attacked bait so much.
Very interested to watch.👌🏼 But the different on the colours, In and out the water… 🤓 I’m just imagining the lures how they will look like under the water to… Thanks for shearing this with us👌🏼🎣
Yeah I wouldn’t do it with a GoPro the shape of them and way you would have to rig them up would cause issues I think on the move that’s why the water wolf is better on the drift but at anchor the go pro is fine to use 😀
It certainly does mate. All fishing is the same in that aspect of the amount of pick ups we get without actually hooking up. I do a lot of carp fishing and that’s just the same.
Nice video Ben, you were drifting fast at times. The video almost seemed to be speeded up!. Just a thought, I remember seeing a similar video once before when the camera was mounted onto a formed stainless steel "U" bracket about 25 or 30cm wide. The camera was mounted on the U slightly elevated too see the 2 traces either side. The underwater footage was really clear. The stainless bracket provided the weight, or I guess you could add more lead if required.
Hey David. Yeah there will be a few ways to mount this but it comes with two eyelets like swivels to tie on to but this was the first time doing it so it was a abit of an experiment hence the rig wasn’t balanced etc, I have since done it again with abit of weight on the camera and longer rig and it worked well!

Cuttlefish are RUTHLESS they smash baits before they hit the bottom more often than not 😭
But yes this shows the cameras can take a rough ride!
So much life down there! Also shows how small baits and small hooks would catch you alot!
It’s a species hunting Mecca mate 100%
That’s incredible mate, was looking forward to seeing this!
Thanks for tuning in! Got a few more to upload over the next few weeks 👌🏻

You’re welcome thanks for watching 👍🏻
This is awesome mate
Thank you for watching 😀
Brilliant footage, I always wanted to try that but too scared I lost my gopro!

This would make a great screen saver!🤓
I have quite a few like this I’m going to get some printed onto canvas 😀
Great insight 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Offers up a new perspective doesn’t it mate

@@theamputeeangler I searched again for the video. Look at "Catching plaice off the Skerries" by a Nick Williams
@@davidholman4161 will do later mate thank you!
It’s a pity you can’t have a live feed when fishing
So many have said that and it would be a great addition but I guess it would be a signal issue that far down back to the boat?
@@theamputeeangler you would need a coaxial line which would be well expensive
Or a fibre optic which would be equally expensive
@@andytillsley9576 yeah both of those would mean more things to snag up and lose and probably make that live feed option a non starter sadly.
