Those are some cool old gas pumps. Abandoned hotels always creep me out. Is that town completely empty? I enjoyed the video my new friend. Keep sharing the cool content.
There are lots of ghost towns everywhere. Globally 1.5 million people a week are moving to cities. Pay is crap in these rural areas. Can't make a living, no jobs, etc. I've spent a good bit of time rambling North Dakota/parts of South Dakota. The reasons for all this are complex like cheap gas, technology destroying jobs, etc. I live near Bemidji, MN, town of about 12,000. Almost all the small towns within 30 miles or so have lost their businesses.
kind of hard to call it a ghost town with a busy highway running thry the middle of it, too noisey for them unlike the serial killers ghost hanging out in my living room....long story there
I bet those metal picnic tables get so hot in the summer you didn't need to cook your food ahead of time, just set it on the tables and fry it up right there.
EVERYTHING IS GOOD, THANKS FOR CHECKING. HAVING TO WORK FOR A LIVING, BUT I'M ABOUT TO MAKE SOME NEW GHOST TOWN VIDEOS VERY SOON! THANKS SO MUCH FOR CHECKING ON ME!
I think it was 1986 that I stayed at that motel .. was on my way to Norton AFB in CA. As I was about to leave in the morning the local sheriff stopped and asked me if I had seen anything .. the place got robbed that night.
Evaporative coolers are not old school in the least. In desert environments they cool very well. They are much mote cost effective than than refrigerated air. Best of all they add humidity, where refrigerated AC makes it drier. Very important in deserts.
Evaporative coolers ("swamp coolers") are used in large portions of NM. Our dry heat makes them efficient during the summer and using no chemicals makes them more environmentally friendly. However, as the drought has worsened, more people are switching to refrigerated air.

I could live at that motel.
When I was just a child we would enjoy the zoo and the truck stop Cafe
It is amazing that regardless of how run down everything else is in the ghost towns most of the churches are still in great condition.
The Nara Visa school and gym are still used today for dances and concerts. Yearly cowboy poets have events there. The interiors are still as new.
Please do Encino, Duran and Vaughn if you have a chance! They are all really close to each other by about 15 miles either way👍
Awesome! I definitely will! Thanks for the recommendation, and Thanks For Watching!
