Man here in Houston pool companies excavate the hole on day one, rebar and install pluming on day two and shoot gunite on day three. Only wood form they use is a 1"x3" to mark the top of the walls. I've seen a 25'x12' pool built start to finish in 8 days. I love the ICF idea and I want to get in the business but its hard to see how it would be faster than gunite here in Texas. Also, not sure if the insulation benefit of ICF is not a strong selling point down here with our laughable winter temperatures; people don't even bother covering their pools and no winterizing needed. Great video by the way. I consume all your content and I'm trying to find a way to pay for your onsite training. Thanks!
Houston dirt is pretty rare around the country, most of the Midwest and mid south is really karst, and you can’t dig a hole precise enough, I mentioned that some places you can shoot the soil in the video, but those places are the exception not the rule
Why would you parge coat concrete? You have to address the tie holes or any imperfections, eco calls the bubbles blow holes…. There are at minimum two different effective ways of doing this without parting the whole wall depending on your crews skill set

Got my ICF pool permit approved
Drew my own plans
❤
Can you do a "beach\sand type" pool finish with ICF?
So how do you prep the ICF walls for hardness prior to finish?
Any ICF pool I have seen has required parge coat prior to finish or liner

Do you need to run copper wire around an insulated ICF pool for bonding ?
Probably but it varies depending on finish, we have details in our manual
5:00 "cost effective"
You don’t think?
Oh ya gotcha, sorry, I drive 6.5 hrs to shoot vids to show everybody new content and I get a little tongue tied and you gotta point it out! Cool!
