- What a place. I had a feeling the wildlife would be good but the views were brilliant. It’s well used and plenty of information and viewing points. End of an era to what is definitely a Cheshire landmark and be interesting to see what happens to the site. Always something to see. Stay safe Paul.

That trench was a household sewer Paul..I remember it in the 70s spewing out everything that was flushed down the chain..we used to throw stones at turds lol..great video
So not a divide between Widnes and Warrington??!!!!!! I liked that idea!
@@pauljones401 hahaha..well they kept it there to keep the divide lol
Amazing films Paul - you take us all into another calm, wonderful and interesting world. Sheer escapism....thank you!
A different place I know! But it was really exciting!!! Thank you very much!!! X
What a beautiful video! Where ever you go, it's so lush and green! The perfect back drop for a concert too! We had large coal operations and other industries were I grew up in Central Pennsylvania that reminds me of the large smoke stacks, train cars and a lot environmental strain on the land there. Glad to see these areas are being reclaimed by nature and healing taking root. The return of the animals is lovely to see. Some of the creeks were I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains still have contamination in the upper reaches from contents leaking from the old mines and no life is sustained within. Far down stream there are some fish but not where I hail from, nor many of the villages around mine where it passes through. I remember when I was a young girl the old folks around town said there used to be fish in the creek, but it's not been that way for generations now. The water is a bright orange color from the mine chemicals and even though it runs through the town and the outlying areas we could never use it recreationally. It's heartening to see what can be and this video is amazing!
That was an amazing story that was really engaging! Thank you. I just hope the same can happen to your areas too. I didn’t mention in the film but average life span even in early 1900’s was around 38 and to be honest there life before wasn’t good. Hope it rains soon P
@@pauljones401 Thank you Paul! It's true they really did have so many things against their health, it's a wonder how long it went on! I appreciate the good wishes on the rain, lol. I moved to the desert a while ago, but where I grew up is more like your videos and one does miss rain and water in the river. All of our rivers here are dry (some for years, depending on where the storms hit during our monsoon). Often you can see the rain hitting a mountain and may even smell it, and it never comes near your area. It's a chancey thing. I often drive out until the rain finds me, sometimes many miles out of town into the open desert. We'll see what July will bring as that is usually the beginning of it all :)! Be well, V.
Excellent Documentary Paul; part of our musical history ; happy memories. That shot of the crowd against that backdrop very powerful. Liked the Bowie reference; yes I can see Dave (as I like to call him) having that in his backyard. Really enjoyed this and it was obvious you did also. Finally; great to how nature always returns if we humans give it a chance. Atb Mark.
Probably not too far from you. The Widnes waterfront been a real joy! Great to hear from you bud!! Paul
Actually Mark I’m so chuffed you watched this!!! Thank you so much!!!! P
Hi Paul! Really interesting video. I love seeing nature taking over these old industrial areas again! Was on the lookout for a sedge warbler on my walks last week, but not found one this year 😁 Loved the views of the Mersey towards the end👍 All the best!👍👍
It’s well worth a visit. Look forward to your new stuff too! Watching game today just opposite Stockport station so you might hear me! Hope all well p 👍
@@pauljones401 In a pub? Or is there a fan zone down there? I'm just watching at home
@@DesGreene in the hotel opposite the main station entrance. My neighbour goes a lot!! One off game so on train and having a drink!
Lovely video. Shame that bridge is gone .
It really was a point I remember. Definitely in last 12 months it’s gone as I was there last July. But what a backdrop! Thank you Paul
What's your thoughts on the clone roses playing there . Are you going?
@@MLNLad Didn’t realise it was on! The list of tribute acts there looks great mind. I’m not around for that date. I’ve played with the Total Stone Roses and the level these lads had to play to should mean it would be a great gig. They even borrowed ad libs as it’s what fans want!!
Don’t know if you saw this but this is the original film I did last year.
