SAVE OUR SPIKE ISLAND - WIDNES

Please help and support, saving our sankey canal, and saving spike island, in recent months spike island canal as become dry, due to leaks at the lock gates and along the canal, plus no water pump at fiddlers ferry,

As someone who walks down the Canal around once a month. I went down a couple of weeks ago and was devastated to see all the dead fish and empty canal full of history.

Hopefully it can be returned to Normal soon

Warrington Council knew of the consequences that turning the pumping water off to fiddlers ferry would bring and chose to ignore it it as it would cost money to rectify the issue.

I was there yesterday and saw signs for today. Shocked how the canal has changed in a year
