The truth is anybody who have been to China recently knows that China is fine, no oppression, people are happy, modern, safe, friendly. China is miles ahead of many developed countries but it's not because they want to be best, they just deserve some respect.

6am in the morning here in the UK and I’ve just watched this video from the great trending OTWD, it was so funny, I don’t normally at 6 in the morning, but this video was so much fun, everyone should wake up with a laugh, imagine how better your day would be if you can laugh in the morning just after waking up.

@@霄震-l1r I have survival Chinese, you pick more and more everyday. I understand more than I can speak. My wife is Chinese she is completely fluent in four languages, Mandarin, Cantonese, English and her native tongue Zhuang. She is my little enabler.
Chinese buffets are very rich, with 100 to 800 dishes. Some buffet restaurants also provide free cocktails, red wine, sake and Chinese wine.

This vid triggered memories of a much younger me pedaling my Flying Pigeon all over Beijing. It's flat and most roads go north, south, east, west. Just know that if you are pedaling north during winter those cold Siberian winds are no joke.

I’m a Chinese and I got my bachelor’s degree in Vancouver Canada. For many times I was trying to figure out which lane should I ride the bike. I am so used to that China has bike lanes in every city. It was not until I drove a car in Vancouver that I found out bikes and cars share the same lane. It was kinda dangerous to me.

Some second-tier cities in China are also very modern, such as Xi’an, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, etc. If you prefer natural landscapes, you can go to Huangshan in Anhui, Guilin in Guangxi, Zhangjiajie in Hunan, Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan, etc. What’s more challenging is to go to Xinjiang or Tibet, where the scenery is even more beautiful. China is huge and there are so many places to see, and there are many that I don’t even know about.

On the other hand, from 30 years ago when many Chinese people couldn't get enough to eat or even starved to death, to now, although we work hard, we at least have a secure life. In fact, I think Western media are deceiving their own people by portraying us as stuck in the past. This allows them to remain proud and complacent, giving us more time to catch up and surpass them. When our country becomes strong, all lies will collapse on their own, and no country will dare to invade China again!

Shanghai is good but if talking about Chinese history and the grandeur, Beijing is a far better place to be. I lived the both places for more than 5 years each . As matter fact, I visited Shanghai very frequently before and recently. I only visited a few times after 2007.
