You seem really to love London. Your eyes are so bright when you pronounce the places. I was with my three children in London five years ago. I had not much understood. Because we made a bus tour, I think I have seen some of the places. We were not long. The underground was fantastic also the big wheel, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, and London Dungeon. Harrods was also a goal of my children. I wish you much success with your channel and want sometimes look at it, even though I will never go abroad again.
I was a languages teacher but I lost motivation and I changed to study law and I almost make it, I sometimes miss the languages so I come to your channel to listen your beautiful British accent. You are a great teacher and very beautiful. greetings from America.
Each lesson is better than the one before it Your choice of words and sentences And the definition explained in a smooth way Make sure that you are a classy, intelligent, creative and classy person I really hope that I will get C1 level and you will be my teacher Of course, it is a great honor for me, Professor Katharine🙏💜🌷🌷🌷🥇🥇🥇🥇
Hi Katharine! I knew I knew Marylebone was a must. Thank you for explaining some of these confusing London names so beautifully. However, tell us how to pronounce ´Tottenham´, please; it is another confusing and difficult pronunciation name (for me).
Hello. You are very good. Thank you for teaching the correct pronunciation of some of the words. For me it is very useful. Thank you very much. Atte. Carlos, Peru
Hi teacher! Tottenham Court Road is a London Underground station of a neighborhood in London? There is a famous football team called Tottenham that many football fans in the world pronounce wrong. Orthographically we see 3 syllables, but as orthography and phonetic in English do not match, Londoners only pronounce the first and last syllable and many do not even pronounce the second T, with the called glottal stop. Tottenham Tot-ten-ham /ˌtɒtnəm / or /ˌtɒ?nəm /. It also has a beautiful schwa sound. Dankeschön, thank you!
Very good video, very good voice,i like your video,i can say that to you'you have very good home bi'coz your back ground sceane is very good, lovely home,i am anubhav and i am from ind

...and Islington most people pronounce something like eyelington but the right pronunciation is eeslington (sorry, I don't know the correct international phonetic alphabet). Take care, dear.
Hey,Kathrin good wish to you I have been learning fun lesson to you. it's really make me convenience and pleasure.I tend to have a lesson about use of could have ,could have been ,might have etc if there is a possibility.love you.
Wonderful Katharine! And very useful as one of my pet peeves and difficulties, as for many I suppose, is to pronounce correctly those British locations (towns, places ...) whose pronunciation so defies logic and reason when one refers to their misleading spelling! English spelling can be so tricky at times ;-) I knew for Leicester (lesta) as I had learnt it some time ago with my beloved Sabe here ruclips.net/video/rwwEKGvFcZs/видео.html. Those I also knew about were: Fulham, Clapham, Borough (I wrote a poem on the tricky tetragraph 'ough') I would have failed miserably on: Marylebone (/ˈmɑːləbəʊn/) ; I was saying 'θeims' instead of /tɛmz/! ; I was surprised by the pronunciaton of 'sunt' instead of /seɪnt/ which is probably more American as the British would say /sən(t)/ or /sɨn(t)/ most probably ; Walthamstow (/ˈwɔːlθəmstoʊ/) I was not too bad I think for that one as I would have said /ˈwɒlθəmstoʊ/ probably. The one that surprised me the most was 'Greenwich' (/ˈɡɹɛnɪt͡ʃ/) that I used to pronounce /ɡɹiːnwɪtʃ/, like a green witch, shame on me! 😂 and I was also discombobulated by 'Southwark'! How on earth could we know it is pronounced 'suth - uk'?! ... Merci beaucoup Katherine, you are very charming! 😘❤🌹
leicester looks like it should be ligh-chester. shocked that it is lester. thames: just recently got this right to my horror. is gloucester really glester?
