@@MehriNikdoost Iran has russian made weapons and jets such as S300 and Sukhoi Su-35. they can literally buy russian choppers anytime without worrying sanctions but still they choose an aging US made chopper, they trust their lives on it than the latest russian and china made helos. They have decades old US made F4, F14, Chinook, Bell and Agusta helicopters still flying up to this day.
The US is still flying the B52. Went into service in 1955 that is almost 70 years

I want someone to explain exactly what we're looking at in the crash site photo. Looks like the tail of a helicopter, with white stabilizer on it. The helicopter he was photographed leaving in didn’t have white stabilizer on the tail. It also looks a different color of blue.

What I found interesting was the rescue party was laughing and jeering when they came across the helicopter wreckage.

@madjames1134, please iran doesn't operate any new aircraft from any nation. All its aircrafts are before the sanctions kicked in after the revolution. Iran did suffer massively during it war with Iraq because of this UNMC resolution prohibiting the sale of weapons to them.
They can't buy new aircrafts or get spare parts but they can get components for military hardware.

@wisdomtony3512 because making bombs with GPS guided chips is simple. Ukraine is able to manufacture drones and missiles domestically. Aircrafts are a different ball game altogether. Even the Chinese till this day import jet engines for their Aircrafts. Those are not sold on black markets or a third party manufacturing it for use. Turkey and India, without any restrictions, have been producing drones and missiles for years but are struggling to manufacture air frames.
Iranian drones are not designed for finding wreckages, they are designed for creating wreckages. Additionally, it's military ranking does not include the IRGC FORCES.
