- On the healing bench is a Modded Zone Xbox Series 2 controller with a MZ Titan Modchip. This requires a refurb and trying to repair this through a rats nest almost broke me!

I don’t think it’s wrong to use hot air for the thumbsticks but for the Xbox controllers the thumbsticks only solder to a single side and not as a throughput via, so a solder sucker is easier than on PlayStation.
The inner bottom screws also aren’t really needed for stability. They’re there as a barrier to entry just like the outer security screws. The shell itself supports the lower pcb perfectly fine.

Why would you “mod” this controller when every button/ function is already mappable on the stock controller?
Because the chip allows you to run mods, i.e. to cheat. So, you can assign macros, use rapid fire, burst fire, set it so that when you pull a trigger it does a drop shot, use recoil compensation etc.

@@TheRealDJSigmaelite series controllers support “shift” functions on the back paddles, which is essentially macros on one button. The triggers can also natively be adjusted to a tiny deadzone effectively making them a button when you enable the shortest pull trigger stopper.
People don’t understand what they’re already buying when they pay for these as stock lol
For example, The amount of people that ask for mouse clicks on these and the edge controller when they already have that functionality in their own customized app lmao.
@@Blu3ManiC The shift function on Elite Series 2s is not the same as macros. It just allows you to have 2 different controls mapped to the same button, like having 4 and $ on the same button on a keyboard, where you have to press shift to get $. Macros allow you to map a series of inputs to a single button press.
Likewise, trigger stops only shorten the travel of the triggers. They do not give you automatic rapid fire when the trigger is held in. They do not give you recoil compensation to make it easier to stay locked on to a target.
That mod chip comes with a phone app that has tons of mods for specific games. You choose the game you're playing, then you can see the list of available mods. It's really not like what the Elite Series 2 does out of the box. It goes way beyond that into cheating.
This is an example of some of the things you get with that chip, straight from the maker's website: -
"When the Ultimate mod pack is selected, the controller will come equipped with MZ Titan modchip and ALL available at the time of purchase mods activated - Rapid Fire, Burst Fire, Akimbo, Drop Shot, Jump Shot, Auto Sprint, Bunny Hop, Auto Hold Breath, Auto Scope, Quick Scope, Aim Assist Abuse, Advanced Anti Recoil, Auto Turbo, Auto Ping, Auto Lean, Macro Mod, COD Slide Cancel, NBA Shot Assist, the Battlefield, The Gears of War, and The Division Modpacks."

It's fully repaired and working 100% I can't comment on the modchip other than it's a shocking Sh*t show. It's for cheating so.. I can't comment TBH.
