Hey - I just spent 23days in the Everest/Khumbu area trekking (19days) and flying left hand seat for about 5+ hours in the B3e's - totally awesome helicopter for its class with the uprated and tweaked Ariel 2D engine and FADEC. Flew up to Everest Base Camp and much higher up to EV Camp 2 (22,000ft). The B3e's hold the record for highest helicopter landing/takeoff from the summit of Mt. Everest at 29,029ft - multiple times and unmodified. Everybody uses B3e's up there - there are many! Solid choice.
@@SCOHEN250K The 19day trek itself cost USD$1700 - it was called the 'Everest Three High Pass Trek' (including Everest base camp) and obviously over 3 very high exposed passes. That price included the following: +Airport arrival meet/greet +Hotel (3.5star) and breakfasts for 3nights +Transfers to/from airport for flight to Lukla +Return flights to the infamous, short sloping Lukla airport +All meals during trek (not any beverages) +Guide the entire time +Porters from/to Lukla +Entry to Everest National Park +Meals for guides/porters +Insurance for guides/porters +Accomodation in 'Tea Houses' (basic hotels) for the 19days. Note: That price (USD$1900) does not include any beverages, tips, insurance (self).
@@neosamurai5374 I asked for a price, and you gave me a detailed breakdown. Thanks, I really appreciate it! How was the experience over all? Did it exceed your expectation?
That's exactly how I want to see it. Recorded from the first turbine noise until the rotors stop completely! Sensational! That's exactly how I love it! That's exactly how it has to be! Absolutely great! You rarely find videos like this on YT but these videos are exactly my thing as a die-hard helicopter fan! I could dance for joy! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Very interesting. I have a question about the rudder pedals. When you push a pedal then release it, does it keeps its position or does it come back to the neutral position?
It will stay where you left it mostly if you have hyd pressure. Might move slightly back towards neutral (I don't think I've ever checked). If you don't have hyd pressure its gonna want to come back to neutral
Nice video....From a safety standpoint, it probably isn't wise to leave your phone on the seat like you did. It could fall on the floor and jam the controls. Just saying. It has happened before. Safe flying.
@@UpsideDownWash isn't it amazing... no matter how many times you have set the h125 on a platform before, there is this 2-3 seconds of full concentration... :-)
You are supposed to release the brake/ease of the brake as the rotor is stopping. if not its kinda like putting your foot down on the brake pedal and not releasing it until the car is stopped. bad for the rotor system and you look like a noob if you do it hehe:)
Beautiful, it feels really good to see this knowing I maintenance the AS 350 and 355s, feels good in the heart
I love that Whining sound on the cockpit From the Ariel engine

It's fun to watch don't get me wrong, but why doesn't every pilot talk you through all the buttons while starting a helicopter 🤔
very good
Are you still at your current job or new venture?

Nice video! Would be much appreciated if you could add narrative, and close up of switches and instruments applied.
