I beat it for myself and then again for some friends. Running AMPs with Aether Shroud helps a ton. I was able to pop it when the orbs appeared for uninterrupted damage on it. My buddy went down so it was just me soloing it, but I managed. The first time was with the M16 and the second with AMPs. Running only pistols does help massively with keeping enemy elite spawns to a minimum.
I used the xm4 that shit was amazing 116 shots big ass magazine and insane accuracy for just runing and shooting the legion then aether shroud to focus even more
In the outbreak easter egg…. The lights on the panels that say A,B,and D will give you the order. It’s the order on the panel that’s lit up…. You’ll know how to read it when you see it.

It agonized me to see a few comments say that they beat it first try, and I was confused where I was getting stuck, but most have said that it took them several attempts. I think I was getting stuck on not having enough armor when using Aether Shroud and seeming to have a lot more Specials from running a Ray Gun or Ray K (idk if there's enough proof of WW increasing Specials, but it definitely seemed that way). I beat it the 5th attempt using Cryo AMP's + Ray Gun (for Elites) + Frenzied Guard, and I just beat it again last night on my 6th attempt using Brain Rot M16 + Ray Gun + Frenzy. Frenzy charges slow, but is super helpful for survivability and slowing enemies, while Brain Rot is great for killing the Mimics that kept stealing a ton of my time that I should've been doing orb damage.
Late to the party with this Easter egg but my Xbox would always crash after world 1 in solo but tried over the past couple days on PS5. Went from not being able to destroy one orb with an M16 to destroying 2 and almost the third with the AMPs. I find that Frenzied Guard is ESSENTIAL instead of Aether Shroud because Aether Shroud is what got me killed since I had no armor. The Wonder Weapon rumor is also just that a rumor. Not true at all.
Where are you getting that claim from? I’ve heard a lot of people say having a wonder weapon makes it worse but no tangible evidence to back it up so how can you prove it
If you actually look at each board the pattern on each dashboard it tells you which goes first, second and third. I always look before I stop the lock down

Finally beat this today with my boy and someone who went down and watched us complete it lol. But what i will say is that the more wonder weapons you bring in, the more boss zombies that will spawn and it makes it practically impossible. We did it with no wonder weapons and absolutely cheesed legion. I would reccommene Krig 6 with full attachments [preferably the ice drake] or M16 and get it to legendary pack 3. Use salvage to get a self revive, and a death machine. The easiest way to get his orbs with ZERO problems is to run aether shroud tier 5. You get two charges initally and you can easily charge up another one to get the third orb. It was too easy without any wonder weapons. If anyone needs help lmk, and good luck completing this egg. Boss fight is no joke.
Did this EE 5 times, first one was when I was new to the game 3 years ago and I died in the boss fight , then this week did it 4 times: 1st attempt I panicked somehow and died, 2nd I fell off the map, 3rd my game crashed on the second map and the 4th one I managed to beat Legion at 6 mins with M16, Gallo and Hauer (all 3 packed lvl 3 with legendary rarity)
i cannot seem to beat this still to this day. im able to do the setups perfectly but legion is so difficult bc of all the mob spawning. i'll try frenzied guard next time but this one is so infuriating.

Literally happened to me last night. Upon trying to exfil, I PHD slid into a wall and got stuck. There were no enemies nearby to charge up an Aether Shroud. I love this game, but my God is it buggy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My battle net account got hacked and when I got it back it said I was perm banned for unauthorized software, so when I tried appealing for it they said it was me that was doing it :/ even tho my activision ID was changed to the RUclips of a legit RUclipsr that uses warzone hacks...The worst part about it is that they don't let you resend the appeal

The field upgrade that you use to go into the jelly fish has 3 charges. The first 2 can be used on the mimics. It will one shot the red mimic. Very easy way to get another key.
Just transverse from bo3 to Cold War and let me tell you after doing all Easter eggs on bo3 then completing every Easter egg besides outbreak in the space of 3 days playing was really great Mauer der toten was definitely a hard one but can someone tell me if this Easter egg is harder me and my team were thinking of going for it as we have already done the other out break Easter egg but am not sure if someone could lead me in on some information about how hard the legion actually is would be amazing thankyou.
I thought Mauer was tough, unless you used the death machine in the boss fight. Without tips and tricks legion and Mauer really are tough. By far legion is the hardest boss fight, I think of all time
Bro for me I noticed it’s easy with the vargo 52 and aether shroud and a ray gun pack a punched level 3 ( kazimir and death machine also ) to destroy all the bastards who come at me and i beat him every time from first try

I feel your pain…. I finally beat Legion solo yesterday! First attempt crashed at Ravenov cutscene. 2nd get downed at boss. 3rd have only 1 orb left to destroy and believe I only needed one more bullet. 4th get downed at boss fight again. 5th and final attempt of the night I make it to the top of the stairs where you start the boss fight. Due to frustration I then pause it and go to bed to beat Legion in the morning. (So glad Xbox didn’t crash 😂) Finished the fight with 4:47 left. Legion can SMD! To anyone struggling with this EE go in with NO wonder weapons at all. Makes a huge difference with the ads spawning. Just use dual wield AMPs/death machine/decoys & aether shroud or frenzied guard. GL!
You have to go to the spot in zoo on outbreak to upgrade the guns you start with. If you don't do the zoo portion of it then you don't get the benefit.
honestly, i disagree with this being the most difficult, i did it first try, while i failed the mauer boss fight with my friends a few times, could be the hp scaling though.
This shit is so easy and boring just like the rest of cold war zombies maps the only thing gets harder about this boss fight is the timer you literally just gotta be quick or you fail

The difficulty doesn't come from lack of time, but from the fact that every time you deal damage, a mimic will appear to get in the way. :(
Use chopper gunner, you get more ammo and your safe from zombies for a bit

It really doesn’t make a difference. Using Wonder Weapons in the boss fight doesn’t add any more mini bosses than it normally would.
I did this first try with a pap 3 gold brain rot custom m16 and it was easy as balls.
