Broski, I stumbled onto your channel from the Easy French video series. It's really cool and inspiring what you are doing here. I was glancing through your videos but malayalam on this last section really took me by surprise. All the best for you and your channel bro.
Awesome. Feels good to see indian polygot. I also speak english, hindi, sindhi, marathi and a little bit of arabic. it is the best feeling when you speak to people in their own language.
It's so inspiring and you kinda motivated me to learn Dutch. I really loved the way you speak and infact the whole video! Thankyou for sharing such amazing videos.
Hey Bro, I am a Tamilian from Tanjore living in Germany.. I am totally impressed with your level of French, and your Tamil is definitely NOT Bad.. even people living Bangalore can't speak like you. I speak German(B2), English, Tamil and bit of Kannada. If you want to improve your Tamil, I am happy to help you out there😃
Thanks man, Arun! I'd love to work on my tamil in 2022. Would love to work on it with you. Your German is as good as my French, if you're B2, but do hit me up on instagram and we can connect :) Happy to do this language learning journey with you!

Hi Joshua 😊! I’m an Indian expat living in France, too. I’m coming from Mayank’s channel, wish I would’ve subscribed earlier. Loved this video, specially the Marathi part 😉 Cheers!
You can speak 3 Dravidian languages, except the one I am currently studying, namely Telugu. Why do I study it? Because I always wanted to see how Dravidian languages function. I could choose any of them, but Telugu seems to be the best choice for a non-Indian. Sure, there are more resources for Tamil, but Tamil has 3 major drawbacks: 1. Its pronunciation is rather hard. 2. Its vocabulary is purely Dravidian, with very few cognates with Hindi. 3. It has a diglossia issue, i.e. the spoken language is different from the written language. This is a problem, because I mainly read newspaper articles to learn vocabulary, which gradually increases my listening comprehension. If the newspaper language is different from the video language, this trick does not work. Before Telugu, I had already started to study Hindi, but my level is not good enough in that language either. The positive fact is that there are lots of Hindi (and Urdu) videos with English subtitles, which currently is my main way of learning vocabulary in those languages. Unfortunately, Telugu video creators do not bother putting English subtitles. My main problem with Telugu is the grammar. I have found a grammar in English, but it does not explain verb conjugation extensively enough. For those who do not know, Telugu verbs are very tricky. If I do not study verb tables, I will not be able to master them. I have tried to create some verb tables myself, using Google translate, but the procedure is rather slow and I am very likely to miss several verb forms.
seeing people learn urdu of their own volition makes me seriously happy. I grew up with it, so seeing people go out of their way to learn it is really wacky :) I'm glad it's being appreciated (**it also makes me feel motivated to actually learn how to read and write in it lol)
I really like the content on your channel. You are very inspiring and you even recently motivated me to explore Tamil and Hindi as potential languages I could start learning (which is quite challenging for someone with Serbian, English and a bit of French in background). You're amazing.

Bonjour 👋, Je ne saurais pas juger les autres langues, mais son niveau de 🇫🇷 est vraiment correct, bien que pas natif. Mais SURTOUT, son Accent est vraiment agréable et plaisant à l’oreille. Bravo Monsieur 👌👍
When you started with north Karnataka Kannada I was like😮..even I am from north Karnataka!learning a new language is so much fun.I am learning Turkish.
The Dutch in between Hindi, Kannada and Urdu, Tamil is confusing for me. While I don't understand the later languages at all, the dutch sounds so familiar for my German ears. So my comprehension went from complete gibberish to "I can almost understand" back to gibberish. :-) Learning dutch as a "gateway language" into German is probably a bad idea. The languages seem very similar, but they are quite different. As a German I can sometimes guess the meaning of Dutch words, but I don't understand complete sentences. Learning Dutch and German at the same time will be confusing. Currently I am learning French (I found you through Easy French.) and a bit of Portuguese. One day I wane learn at least a bit of Hindi and Urdu because I wane learn a language that is written in a non Greek / Latin / Cyrillic script. With Hindi and Urdu I get two very different scripts for the effort of learning one language. At least that is my idealized conception. :-)
About the similarities, you're right! It makes it difficult when it's almost the same but not exactly. You need to remember 2 versions. It's a fun project for me, I'll try it and see what happens :) I'm going to work on a romance language after Dutch, Spanish or Italian perhaps. I can help you with Urdu or Hindi. If you're really motivated, I'm happy to connect with you on the weekend and help you with it, record bits of our sessions and make a video of it. Let me know what you think!
@@JoshuaBalata Well. My long term goal with the romance languages is an at least an OK level (solid B2) of French and to have at least A2 / B1 skills in Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. I wane dabble into classical Latin also. Sadly I don't have any interest in Romanian and the lesser known romance languages like Ladin, Sardinian, Catalan, ... Many thanks for the offer on Hindi / Urdu, but I have to decline the offer for now. The problem is that I am still at a very low level in French and Portuguese. I need to focus on these first. It will most likely take at least a year until I can devote any time to Hindi / Urdu. Also some of my colleagues at work are from India and speak Hindi. So learning it with them is a perfect opportunity to connect with them closer. And through my French studies I came across the Breton language. Yet an other bucket list item...
Bro. Tell me about the safety in france. In the recent years some terrorist attacks happened, how is Frnace when it comes to safety? what about crime rate? How are french people? I have heard from few people that they don't mingle with other nationality/culture people. What is the truth?
