Venice is a residential, commercial, and recreational beachfront neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles, California. It was founded by Abbot Kinney in 1905 as a seaside resort town. It was an independent city until 1926, when it merged with Los Angeles. Venice is known for its canals, beach, and Ocean Front Walk, a two-and-a-half-mile (4 km) pedestrian promenade.

Ah, where my husband was born and raised. We left in 2016 and we miss LA every day. He misses Venice, I miss the Valley. These videos are making us homesick! 😂❤

i wouldn't advise it. don't move here the politicians are ruining the state and they will continue to ruin it because these people keep voting them in. if that wont discourage you from coming then at least move to the better sides of los angeles county like lakewood, cerritos, downey, and bellflower. just stay away from the popular cities like long beach, and anywhere within a 9 mile radius of the city center of los angeles. nothing but taxes pollution, drug epidemic, homeless epidemic, and crime ridden. i know because i've lived here for 20 years and i want out.

@@deathstranding5658 as of making this comment California has decriminalized theft and now there is looting/ stealing almost everywhere. proposition 47 basically states that if a criminal steals less than $950 usd it is a misdemeanor crime and the police are less inclined to take it seriously and investigate and if they do prosecution will most likely let them go due to overcrowded jails and covid. also my dad's pickup truck go broken into and they took his subwoofer. 2 weeks later they broke into a different truck belonging to a furniture store. now when i go to pick up a family member from work i have my 9mm smith and wesson ready, even though i don't have a concealed carry permit. (and that permit takes up to a year to get it) it has gotten worse and will keep getting worse. if you don't live like this where you are from just don't come to california for your safety.

I was here last year. It has such a nice atmosphere and the sky was also purple. It was really chill and I also went swimming in the ocean. It was so nice, I want to go back. Stupid corona :(

Damn grass, sand, palm trees, sunset behind the sea and mountains is exactly the same like in my home town Málaga (southern Spain). In fact people call it Malagafornia cause it's so similar. Nice walk

Watching today from chilly, wet and windy Scotland (while on my cross trainer). Love how, in the course of the walk, it transforms from daylight, twilight to dark. Chilled out citizens, great sound quality ! Perfect !

We're natives and miss it every day since we left. LA is more a series of small towns than one city. It's too spread out to be one city, really. But it's unique and there's a place for everyone, in terms of the type of neighborhood.

I skipped Venice Beach when I visited in 2017, and I think I don’t regret it. It looks a little gritty, sketchy, lots of homelessness. Great video tho, sunset looks nice👌🏻

no, it is overall very clean, but status of sanctuary city makes homeless and illegal converge, but that is temporary.
@@debrafirestone861 opposite, it is better now, but still, every single blemish, is one too many, must and will be taken care of. temporary tent housing and debris is unworthy of the place, California and America. must never look like it dies on many german cities.

Now there are tents of homeless people, it looks like half of a dump and half nice, its pretty sad.
The City of LA should be ashamed, all the money this city has and they won't build apartments for the homeless, not shelters. But build apartments

Imagine and being here truly in 2010 and 2011 when world was predominantly correct period in terms of technology which was ideal rather than over now,,and gta 5 being filming and making us wondering what would happen after release and yepp that is heaven
We're natives, we moved away in 2016. We never thought we'd leave it the cost, traffic and crime were just too much. Venice has been cleaned up, though. Little by little, folks there are trying to make it better. ❤

It was a place for homeless people to set up. Not anymore. They're gone, and the boardwalk is cleaned up again.
