  • Sauter pianos, since 1819, have and continue to provide high end pianos with brilliant, clear, and unique sound as a hallmark of SAUTER pianos. That is why they insist on hand-crafting their instruments-given that their clients have appreciated their beauty in tone for nearly 200 years. Their instruments will capture your imagination with their sonority, refined touch and unique sound.
The Sauter 220 Omega (7’3”) is surprisingly powerful and dynamic, yet has a sweet singing personality all its own. Carefully selected materials, handcrafted by Artisans who average 25 years Sauter experience, are the heart of this semi-concert grand. Hand selected Val-di-Fiemme spruce from the Italian Alps crowned with Spherical Concavity combined with select hammer felts contribute to the dynamic tone. The Extension Register has been developed for contemporary compositions which require the pianist to precisely identify the positions of partial tones on the strings.

After the bell like singing notes at the end of the intro, Terry says "beautiful". SO true . . . based on the sound of this beauty, and I've seen literally dozens of pianos being played on RUclips, I'd vote this Omega as my favourite by a country mile! JUST gorgeous. (note to self - buy lots of lotto tickets!) The TONE is to die for and nice playing too by Terry who is so engaging.

Would love to hear some Schubert and Rachmaninov on a Saüter. They are the Poggenpohl of Pianos.

Amazing tone. Bass is so good very rare to get this type of power and clean bass. Treble is also very much clean and like a bell. Nicely explained about the Suter brand. You should make the performance video on this piano so that it can be easy to hear the quality of makers.
    Thanks! Enjoyed! ❤

I’ve just recently bought a Delta 185. It’s astonishing. The clarity of the tone is above anything I tried in the price bracket (Steinway, Bosendorfer, Shigeru Kawai)

3:48 Excellent demonstration, Terry. Very well explained, and demonstrated. If only more piano teachers actually understood (and could explain...) the importance of a sensitive keyboard to their students (3:48 onward), more of these pianos would continue to be moved in the market.

Could you make a review without other pianos being played in the background??!it's impossible to hear the piano like that!
