    Good job! You answered my question about this having (or not having) a sunglasses compartment. Still, looks great. Thanks for reviewing this!

      Awesome. We’re around 30,000 miles now and the car is doing great!

    Great review... I bought a 2022 se because of the same reasons you mentioned in terms of value. Not to mention, this is one of most roomiest small SUVs on the market. Especially in the back seat area.

      IT IS! Congrats on the new ride. Volkswagen, if you're cross-shopping around actually did a great job on the sticker price. Keeping this thing around $30-$37K is amazing when everyone else is over $40K now.

    VW trends to remove very cool features they had just to make it cheaper :(
    Rear camera, kessy, media cd/sd slots are examples of that.
    I am a fan of VW, but agree with you that in rush for savings they have started to cut things, and also hope that won't impact reliability.
    And there is a standard lamp - in the gloves compartment :)
    And also a button there close to gearbox controller/selector - it is not disabling of traction control, but is disabling of a start-stop.
    Thanks for great review and I wish you enjoy this car

      Shoot, THAT’s where the bulb (non LED) was. I knew there was one cheap light on the car :) Yeah, I’d be okay if this car was $45K and had DSG, more sound deadening in the doors and slightly nicer surfaces. They were trying to really hit that $sub-$40K price point. Just like not requiring 89/93 octane looks good on the total cost of ownership spreadsheets even if the car really shouldn’t be running 87. Oh well, we still really like it.

    Could you give me the link for your trunk liner? Bought a 23 vw Tiguan and I’d love to get one for my dog

      Howdy, Yep it's CanvasBack. They're built to order so it could take a week but these things are awesome! Waterproof and full coverage along with custom cut to you car. I have them in all of my vehicles.

    We have this version (SEL) called Highline R-Line in Canada. I own the same in a Silver. Love the features. My only complaint would be that the infotainment system could be sluggish sometimes...Great product for a reasonable price while the so called "reliable" manufactures/ dealers price gouging with ridiculous interest rate with their models. Do not regret buying it! Have you tested the park assist feature?

      We have had Park Assist on our last three Volkswagens and have never tried it. I feel like it would just take too Long and usually other cars are waiting for me to park that I get nervous and don't use it.

    I'm hesitating between a tiguan and mazda cx5, any help to decide wich one to buy ? Thanks in advance for your feedbacks

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  Год назад +1

      I have not driven a CX-5 but my assumption is with Mazda, you’re probably have lower replacement / repair costs in the body shop and lower big maintenance items like 100K mile services will be cheaper for Mazda. If you can find a great Volkswagen independent shop for when your warranty is up, then that’ll help costs. VW dealers have a high hourly labor rate.
