My $100k budget went $240k. Grrr. I did not fund raise & everyone got paid except some bar guests that got free drinks. Much of that overage came from a terrible 1st AD who screwed up the call sheers regularly, causing us to go into overtime. We also lost some locations and ran out of time so, it was messy...and painful ha

Another related comment. People complain "its who you know." But, it's often who you know thst you can rely on and can deal with in stressful situations. It's not just a clique. Alsonto save mobey, consider the costbofva location, prop etc that is needed for a scrme the way written. My first script writer wanted a scene where we needed to trash a 1960s convertible in a rainy, foggy road crash. Im not Paramount. So that scene was simplified then completely dropped.
Yall keep saying things i have to comment on. Ha. We shot my film in 4.7k. My distributor downgraded to HD. I think they dont want to spend money on storage.

Definitely have to find a crew that works well together! And that was a good call on dropping that scene 😅
