Yes indeed, same thing happened with Richie valence or is it vale’s.. I’m not sure but his story was tragic as well feeling he would die on a plane and did even after he told his crew he didn’t want to fly.
I met Aaliyah in person in July 2001 at a then FYE store where she was signing copies of her 3rd album Aaliyah, she signed the CD for me, we hugged each other, I gave her a kiss on the cheek, sadly 1 month later in August 2001 she died in a plane crash, Aaliyah I LOVE you and miss you. You will FOREVER live in my heart.
22 years later and I'm still a huge fan and she's still the princess of R&B and one of the greatest and most talented artists of all time. Both Aaliyah and Kobe died along with 8 passengers (including 9) in deadly aviation accidents right before life changing events that happened in the world Aaliyah-9/11 Kobe-COVID 19
I didn’t know she was carried into the plane while she was unconscious from being drugged. But I feel like she woke up just before the crash. With the loud alerts that planes make before they crash.. as well as the airplane violently moving around. That could’ve been enough to wake her up. She had a bad feeling about this flight. If only her team listened to her gut
She was not drugged before she got on the plane. So much misinformation smh. They found her with her head b/w her legs, bracing herself for impact. How could she do that if she was unconscious?
Aaliyah was way ahead of her time. I absolutely loved her & can remember hearing the news that her plane crashed. It was like time stood still that day. I honestly couldn't believe it. We lost a major ICON that very sad day. RIP AALIYAH🙏💔
I wonder how terrified she was in her final moments which maybe lasted for couple of minutes given she died of heart attack meaning she was gone before the plane hit the ground. 😢😢
The fact that her death was 200℅ preventable is what even makes it more sadning. She never wanted to go, her body didn't let her go, she had several body signs not to go. If only she left the airport to lodge somewhere else, this beautiful lady would've been alive today. But as stubborn as her crew members were, they led her to her death. God speaks to us in several different ways, first, their flight was delayed, impatience made them want to board a flight they weren't even sure of. Her body was another sign, but yet her crew members didn't listen. If you ever have a gut feeling to do or not to do something, do not hesitate... Walk away as far as you can. This is so sad...
Her death was headline news for days but unfortunately the 911 attacks eclipsed the story of her sudden tragic demise. It has been 22 years already and yet I still have vivid memories about it. We were her big fans here in the Philippines
She's passed away two years before I was born, but she has always been an inspiration to me since I was small. It's just sad how hard this young woman worked for her career just to have it all taken away at the height of her fame! She had so much planned for her and I often wonder what other things she would've accomplished in her future. Hearing that she didn't even want to get on that plane and her gut feeling was ignored by her team makes this even more heartbreaking. 💔

I never knew they dragged her unconscious body onto that plane. How could someone take her right to stay put away? She was frightened and that fear was everything in the universe telling her not to get on that aircraft. She listened, they overruled. May she continue to RIP Edit: I know some of yawl are upset in this comment section but I said what I said. So instead of crying to me, cry to the person that made the video or whatever brings you peace. I really don’t care 🤷🏾♀️
Because that isn’t true. Aaliyah is the one who was insisting on boarding the plane. It was her call. They all worked for her. No way they could have made the call to board her “sleeping” body on the plane without her knowing.

If there's one thing we should never do, it's not to ignore that gut feeling when something tells you a situation isn't right
What god would that be?? Prove your imaginary friend!
Everyone around her that day failed her. If certain things were handled better, she probably would've still been with us

Sometimes I always think to myself “What if” imagining if Aaliyah was still here with us today
I strongly believe Beyonce would be in her shadow for ever.
