This whole thread is misleading you have to pay fees to buy Bitcoin and more fees to sell it and your new bitcoin may be devalued during the few moments you own it... we're not there yet save your money..

Thanks for the video. Can anyone help me understand this; if I send my wife $200 through Zelle, it appears (ready to spend) in less than 2 minutes, and I pay no fee, and face no tax implications. If I send $400 through transferwise to my father-in-law in Thailand, it takes 4 hours and costs $4.50 and has no tax implications as long as I gift under $10k. If I sent Bitcoin in either of these situations, it takes 30 minutes to 2 hours for the transaction to show up, I pay a fee to the exchange of around $5-$40, and when the other party converts it to fiat, they have to pay either short or long term capital gains on it. Where exactly is this "advantage"?
@@tylerrichardson6712 why would u be dumb enough to send to any family member a low amount in btc instead than with a stable coin with cents fees such as busd? They could use ur money with any visa card accepting crypto and zero problem. Defi is about decentralization brother
@@Wang_dadi first, this video is literally called "Bitcoin explained like I'm 5". That should tell you something about what to expect in the comments. Secondly @6:40 he states that btc is faster and cheaper to send than a wire transfer to another country. I've done this, and can tell you first-hand that it is slower and costs more. I haven't tried it with a stable coin yet. Maybe that works better, I don't know. But he clearly stated that btc would do it faster and cheaper. Just thinking out loud here, but maybe if I removed my btc from the exchange and sent it peer to peer there wouldn't be a fee? But I have to pay the exchange to withdraw my stable coins and btc from the exchange wallet to my private wallet anyway. So not really dodging a charge there.

How can I buy bitcoin in first place to send it without having a bank account??? ( after all the % of not having bank accounts seems irrelevant )
You could ask your Company to pay you in Bitcoin.
Or trade your Cash with someone who is willing to give you Bitcoin for it.
Download BTC Core and start mining that's a case)
