We have a video of our installers cutting PPF on a balloon without popping it 😎
Solid idea

I have the same type of skill from cutting floor coverings. Haven't made a mark on whatever I'm cutting on in years.
Came here for this. Fellow installer, score it once and cut once. No wasted movements. Some guys swear by straight box blades but the carpet knives are the way. From cutting in kitchens to getting an off cut like say in between a jamb and a non 45 degree crooked wall, with a socket hole along the way or somethin…. It feels good getting cuts like that first try.
I installed floors for several years when I was younger and I still have excellent knife skills. Not quite as sharp, but I am still very confident with a knife.
I could hear my lead saying this then proceed to act like he didn’t notice the scratch as he demonstrates
@Chris Hayes thought I responded to ur message but apparently not. Anyways, lately I've been using concave blades for LVT, sheet flooring and they last a LONG time. Just finished an 8 day commercial job doing rubber plank stuff and only put one new blade in. But for carpet and most other stuff, the double sided carpet blades are great. Some brands a little better than others.

Man knows his shit. No denying that
How? I can cut a lot of things using my arm as a backstop. Razor blades aren’t that sharp.
@@supdood885 aren’t that sharp ? Then how are they cutting threw the film with ease im just saying lol 🤔
And shit it is, literally. 😂
Still, it doesn't happen till it happens.
When you get too comfortable with a task sometimes you mess up.
@@supdood885 you don't even know what you talking about.
they has vid where they cut ppf on top of balloon.
My man stood by his work!
This is what you call a professional.
@Treedom Vellacroix he professionally didn’t fuck his arm up.
"Pay a quality shop too do quality work" the amount of people who either go too some random that does bad work because price, or have a "buddy" that can do it better are always the ones who throw the product under the bus like its the products fault you tried to be cheap. Quality costs, within reason.
Ok
F**k paying anyone anything to do any job I need done on my vehicle. if you're a man, you should be pretty much able to do any work on any vehicle you own, whether it's a simple oil change or an engine swap. even if idk wth I'm doing, I'll research it first, watch a few videos then make the attempt to get the job done. what's the worst that can happen? you end up paying someone to do it because you failed. best cause is you succeed and can step back and say, f**k ya, I did that plus you now know what to do for next time. I'd rather fail at an attempt to fix my vehicle than not even try. today's men seem like little fairies that don't want to do shit but sit in parents' basements playing video games and/or turning themselves into chick's with d**ks. imo today's society is extremely sad, to say the least.
@@richardsalinetrojr1957 that's a wild launch off when my original post had nothing to do with this lol. I agree though, working on your own stuff is the best. I for one, am someone who does 98% of my vehicle work myself. Only thing I don't do is build my own transmissions. I take them out and bring them too a local builder who's VERY reputable. Having a warranty is nice sometimes, especially when it costs me nothing out of pocket. Case in point, had a 4l60e built too the gills, everything but the input drum/shaft was replaced because it was in good shape and they're relatively strong. I shattered it doing a launch after monthssss of abuse, brought it back and in 5 hours I was back up and running for free. My point is you get what you pay for. Alot of times people take it to a shop not because they lack the knowledge but because they lack the time. Time is invaluable.
@@richardsalinetrojr1957 that has just about nothing to do with anything said.
youve just been DYING to get that off your chest.
Skills that surely pay the bills. 👌
Hey my man your a pro love the confidence keep up the good work!
Need that chest pack for snacks, fishing line, spare beer a flathead screwdriver and a blade for the mower and hold a small dog.
Respect to this man to tell peopleto go to quality shops and not just his, he deserves support.
My man is wearing a tactical vest while installing tint
🤣🤣 lookin like a cop
i bet jason is very proud of you
I feel like this guy watched Terminator 2 as a kid but is also really good at his job.
😂😂😂 When he peels his arm skin off?
A real professional will never say that he is a professional💯
you look like a professional
@@Gringle_ you are one👍
Moved to Fort mcmurray alberta for like 6 months, uncle taught me lots about ppf and had me help do work for his customers, Miss that shit low key was lit with the shop cars👌🏻
Eman is THE MAN
The sharper the knife the safer it is to cut with.
But there is a such thing as too sharp especially when doing certain things like what he demonstrated you would t want much sharper than that otherwise the weight of the blade would be enough to cut your skin.
@@strhaivenswr If you know what you're doing, the sharper the knife is the less pressure needed to cut, therefore less chance of slipping. If you're holding the knife, there shouldn't be any weight on the knife. The weight of the blade doesn't matter it's how much you vertically drag it, the pressure you apply to it, and the angle you cut at. Think of shaving with a straight razor. Knives are designed to cut things and this is just for demonstration purposes anyway.
This is a great demonstration bro
Worth a shot. Let's talking about that vest with the tool pouch 👌👍
Exactly I make tape for a living and we have to cut the film without cutting into the next layer or what's behind it all the time. It just takes a soft touch with the perfect pressure.
I thought bro was the cops when i saw that vest pack combo 😂
True professional only comes with experience excellent work
Me in the ER 37 seconds later
practice on a balloon bruh lmao
Going to need the link for that chest rig 😂
Honestly
Ok no joke I looked for this comment hoping to find it 😢
Film supplies, ^ dirty rigger^
Exactly what I was looking for that rig is 🔥🔥
Shit seeing how confident you were with that and how confident you are at your job I'd let you do that on my arm, 100% trust.
Good thing you’re wearing that level 2 body armor. Sheeew!
damn that front bag chest mount is cool as bro where that from?
ong , im tryna cop too
Agreed👍
Thanks for this. When getting film installed I always wondered if it’s scratching the car.
Bad installers get cars painted, good installers keep factory paint safe
Good quality advice
What’s the brand of that chest rig? Looks dope. My man knows how to stay tactical and functional while showing master skills 🙏🏼
That's what i was thinking, front packs make more sense then a back pack when it's less stiff
im tryna find out too
Lmao this is a cringe comment
@@cantsneedgaming4591 Not cringe when you gotta carry magazines lmao.
Looks like a really crappy chest rig, doesn't cover any vitals and doesn't hold plates, only looks the part.
Thsts proof hes damn good at what he does
pure talent bro
Good work bro. Where you can buy that bag that you’re wearing and which brand. Looks dope !
When you wear a plate carrier to work…oh shit Tyler goin postal?

Lmfao I thought same thing at first. That’s like northwest burbs shouldn’t be needin all that up there
Hell yeah that’s the shit that proves quality, solid video
Got those magic fingers bro, respect for the skill
worked in a graphics and vinyl graphics for years, this man gets paid very well
Try to do that same shit with someone thrashing in pain LMAO
That made me so anxious just watching 😅
Saw an ammo nyc video where the previous installer cut through the paint when applying ppf and it caused rust
They really cut through every layer of paint then. 😱
Bro got the ambulance on speed dial for when he come in witta hangover💀
I like how both times u cut it, u edit out the knife initially going in because once u get the cut started, it just slides thru with no pressure, so yeah anyone could do this without cutting themselves.
You can tell bro is in Chiraq, he’s wearing a plate carrier while working at the body shop. Stay Safe.
Very cool bruv !!
I always wondered about this. Thanks for clearing things up 🤙
The lightest stroke ever
Anyone else going to talk about how straight the cut was
2 seconds I thought homie had a BP Vest 😅
Where did you get the bag from?
Awesome. And that is a cool chest rig 👍🏼
Ggs bro keep up the good work
Oh OSHA is gonna love this!
What do you call the front chest bag? Need it!
What is that bag you use
Ppf can go over regular wrap if so how long do you wait after wrap is installed. Asking because I want to wrap my car myself
That's dope
Where can I buy the bag
Thats confidence and skill id pay big $$$ for.
What’s the price of a full ppf wrap
where you get that bag at?
Pressure control scoring the top cutting through the flap
All facts. Quality. Quality. Quality. Not all the time but quality
You should show your customers that it would make a great selling point as well as make your product seem unique I've never seen that demonstration before
What is the fail rate of this atuff? Are different car brands more likely to have the paint chip off when removing the filim?
luv u guys
We luv you too
Where did you get that bag
Where is the chest bag from bro that looks fire.
Same thing when cutting the jacket/tape shield/ semi conductor off of cable when performing a termination. (Electrician apprentice)
Cant cut too deep but if you dont cut deep enough then you cant peel the layers off.
When do you cut right on the body though? Isn’t it always along the lines and edges where there’s no body on the other end of the knife anyways
Hey man, wheres that bag from?
this gives me flashbacks
What bag is that?
Love this guy's chest pouch!
Do you teach classes?
LSC Grand National came out SWEET 🔥
He left out that u gotta pay that quality price too🤣🤣
Makes sense. They have good services only fair they make you pay a price.
HR has entered the chat.
Wow I can’t believe my eyes that’s so pro
Ive got a question could you put ppf under a leather top of an older car?
Have a good one.
What chest rig is that?
Always a safe idea running exacto blades across your arm. Your arm is the best cutting board.
Don't try at home!
What pack is that I been wanting
Why you got a cabin in the woods tattoo tho 🤣
What type of bag or Fanny pack is that, looks dope
bud definitely looks like “a trained professional”
What backpack is he wearing but for the front??
How do you know if a shop does quality work?
Great knife control props
How's ppf do with hail
Anybody know what brand that bag is on his chest? Or know where I can get one been trying to find a good on but I can’t find one
What kind of pouch/bag is that
