- The show continues to tell a good story with some good hockey thrown in as well. I am looking forward to season 4.

Riley and Jonesy should absolutely make their way up to the NOSHO
as well as Corey & Liam
We're at this level, and we need to get TO THIS LEVEL!
I liked Jim, but not as much as Jim and Jim is okay but needs more screentime...
Give yer ballzuh tug Shannon
I just turned 43 and had a heart attack 3 months ago. One of the hardest things I had to do was face the possibility that I would have to stop playing hockey after 30 years. I cried during some of these episodes with happy and sad tears at some places just because it hit me right where I live. The decision to stop due to health or age (or both), is always something every player faces eventually at every level of the game. To see it portrayed so well made me come to grips with my reality and why if it is my last time playing, I know I leave a clean player, a good locker room guy, someone you could depend on to show up and give it his all and tried to contribute as much as my talent (or lack thereof) would allow. I'll miss the room and the guys, and I'll miss just the camaraderie of the game most of all, but I go out satisfied with what I've done and regretful I couldn't do it anymore.
That really sucks. Getting old really sucks because you start to experience serious health problems, and you're still pretty young.
@@alemswazzu the worst is when the body and brain do not communicate with each other.
The brain says 'Come on, let's do all the fun stuff we had done since youth'. Body says 'Nooooo, you are too old for that now'.
Such is life. Just keep moving forward though brother
Oh wow! AJ, you hit the nail on the head. I’m 70 and played beer league in St Louis and later Houston until I was 51. Switched companies and cities at that point and new job required a lot of travel. So my reason for “retiring” was different than yours, but the feeling is the same.
Even here 19 years later, I still miss playing.
It was really hard to stop playing. My wife and I became great friends with a lot of the folks in the league and it was tough to quit the hockey and tough to move away at the same time.
You meet a lot of great people in beer league hockey and make great friends.
BTW, I hope you are doing OK with your heart. Pay attention to your MD and take your meds. All the best for your continued health!!
How're you holding up?
This show is unbelievable. Last episode was so emotional knowing that Shoresy was gonna be done and overcoming the 4-0 deficit. Shocked to see that even Jory was emotional about Shoresy’s end
"It's not actors playing hockey. It's hockey players acting"
-Dolo
Good, you’re going
Yeah, hoo!
Une fois.
@@TheHockeyGuy You get the stick 🍦 bud
This was the best season of the three. Its rare to see a show improve after its initial run.
That last episode almost felt like a series finale until that final few seconds and then the prompt. Really great season overall
I honestly wish they would have ended it there. It was a great series, and I'd hate for them to drag it out.
@@sherlockholmes60 it's currently a total of 18 episodes. If they add another 6 it's hardly being dragged out 😂
I explained to my brother that episodes 1-3 were a lot of fun, while episodes 4-6 were full of heart. I've enjoyed all three seasons and am very interested to see the show's next steps.
just came out here on the 21st and I've watched it 2x already. the scenes with Nat and Shoresy are so so good, even with how predictable things were I still cried my eyes out watching the last 2 episodes. It's a love story, but not a romance. Nat loves the team. Shoresy loves hockey. Nat loves Shoresy for giving the team everything he has, Shoresy loves Nat for letting him do it. Goody loves chicken. Shoresy might love Laura Mohr, and now that he's not a "slut"...who knows?
Chickens unbelievable
You got any chicken tenders?
Slightly ashamed at how hard I cried during the last episode lmao. Whether it's hockey, sports in general, or any passion/hobby, hanging up the skates is TOUGH. My god did they capture it perfectly. Excited/slightly terrified to see where the series goes from here.
This season had me confused at first, but as it unfolded it proved again to be fantastic writing and character building.
I think season 3 is a masterpiece that you just don’t get that often. Every character is fleshed out and finds a new way to make me laugh. The ad lib scenes like the Shorty Short box opening where they are all as lobbing trying to make each other crack up is pure gold. Dolo, Hitch, and Goody have ridiculously good timing and feel for their characters. (Did you know commercial airliners can’t go in reverse? You have to push them). The relationship between Nat and Shoresey is obviously the emotional center of the show but the back and forth dynamic between Shoresey and Zuog really paid off when he tells her in his own way she’s pretty despite everyone, especially him, always. Trashing her. She gives him nothing but hell but going back to season 1 she’s the most ready to fight for him when the kids mutiny against his leadership. Jory Jordan is comedy gold. But what Keeso did with the. Character who started out as a yer mom joke on Letterkenny and turning him into a profoundly relatable character without ever once making him saccharine or betraying his personality is incredible. The family dynamic is incredible. When they all level with him that they’re sorry but it’s over as “Objects of my Affection” plays in diner is legitimately heartwarming and heartbreaking.
Also there has been one Letterkenny crossover since the first episode. Anik the host of bro dude is the French girl that cheated on Darry.
I had binge watched it late last night/early morning.
All episodes put up on SBS On Demand (free streaming service for the Australian free-to-air TV channel SBS) since Saturday night.
Only way to watch the Tour De France free here as well
that final big moment in the locker room where shoresy tells the guys he needs one from each of em..... i get chills. genuinely one of the greatest moments of the show for me. the way the synthesizer swells as they mount the comeback, combined with the stakes themselves... it was just unbelievable.
I can’t wait to play senior whale s*** hockey when my contract is inevitably bought out because no team wants me 💙
Corey and Liam are gonna be on the team next year, guarantee it
When Opus started playing for the 3rd period in episode 6 I got goose bumps. I've always loved the music in Letterkenny and Shoresy but this was the first time I recognized a tune. So epic.
I took the fish comment as he may move on to bigger and better.
yea i figured he might move to a higher league, but at the same time, hes "a goal scorer who doesnt score " 😅😅 so maybe he'll just go join the workforce
I thought he meant he won't make it back to the national championship again.
Shannon, you should come out to Boston for the Shoresy Classic when they play the Boston Bruins alumni.
Great show, I look forward to it every summer since it's debut.
I like that Jacob Tierney, who I remember as Eric in "Are You Afraid of the Dark?," has gone on to great success working on Letterkenny and Shoresy.
I really enjoyed it, I love this show and have binged the first 2 seasons multiple times and it never gets old and it always manages to surprise me storyline wise. First season the disappointment after the final game, season 2 ended up being a "love story" essentially, and this season had the injury/retirement angle.
Just finished season 3 and loved it! The show also has helped senior leagues, I live in Madison, Wisconsin and we just got a senior hockey team. Played against some of the guys who show up to pick up games and uh...they're good 😅
A really good example of someone who could not play hockey in a movie is John Wayne in Idol of the Crowds. In real life Wayne could barely skate, so in the movie they just had players falling around him to make it look like he was skating circles around them. 😂
I loved season 3! If you look at the resumes of some of the hockey players on the show, some have had impressive careers in the minors and even in the NHL. Jordan Nolan (Jim #3) was on two Stanley Cup winners and Terry Ryan (Hitch) was a 1st round pick of the Canadiens.
I enjoy that they’re going on tour in November
Shoresy is the greatest hockey media I’ve ever watched.
My personnal favs are the 2 Goon movies, but Shoresy is great.
Best show about any sport.
"nice treasure trail riley !! is it so you can remember where to find your horn ?? " i think that's one of the first things wayne and or daryl says to the hockey guys. classic intro.
Absolutely loved it, episode 4 on was phenomenal and we still loved 1-3.
Can't wait for part 2, holy crap was it gooooood
I'm curious what's going to happen with Sanguinet. I could see him moving into a management role.
I’m feeling a major Junior coach
I foresee a dark side from him coming through. Like a betrayal and joining a rival - a la Nate from Ted Lasso
@@iampete8692 That's exactly what I was thinking. I think he might be bumped down to being assistant coach for season 4 and season 5 will be his Westham Nate season (probably with the Soo Hunt or a new team).
One of my favorite scenes is Sanger calling out the Captains, pulling the whole bohoho reversal on Shoresy was perfect character building for him. Sanger may be there friend but he is still there coach.
I liked how they set up different angles they could take the story from here. If they wanted to they could do a season of Shoresy: The Hockey Teacher, a season of Shoresy: The Head Coach, or Shoresy: The Broadcast Analyst.
It definitely had a more serious vibe at times, but I still absolutely loved it!!!!
I have a feeling Riley and Jonesy and maybe Tanis will make an appearance.
I would also love if Wayne Stopped by and we never saw his face.
I agree...it had a slow start. And I was actually originally thinking he was gonna be moving onto the training kids
I think they should have Tanis appear in the show. It would make the most sense for her to appear in feel like because in I think season 9 or 10 Tanis said Shorsey was gonna play for her cousin up north so Tanis would be related to Nat. I think that would be interesting to see happen in Shorsey.
I have enjoyed all of Shoresy thus far. This season was bittersweet with Shore being retired due to his injuries, but I'm looking forward to see what happens now. Reminds me of The Don Cherry story a tad too. Plus if he does become the coach what happens to Sanguinet? Does he go back to playing or does he become an assistant coach? Far as Letterkenny crossovers go I'd like to see Tanis since she does or did have her own team so there's at least a small connection to hockey. Riley and Jonesy or even Mary-Anne and Betty-Anne would be most people's obvious choice, but I can't see them fitting into the show. Granted I don't make the show so I'm sure better people would find a way to fit them in if they decide to.
Wow! Check out this half ton sporty short box.
It seems like Shoresy is gonna be Jared Kesso's own spin on the Don Chery Story, which he played Grapes as a player, a coach, and ended as an analyst.
Great ideas of what future seasons of Shoresy can possibly hold.
I’ve loved all the stuff Jared has put out
Question ...
Who here is old enough to remember the series He Shoots , He Scores ?
Mid 80s CBC . 📺
Being a Nordiques fan , I was all over this .
Hay Shannon there is 2 ontario sr hockey league ACH is AAA and Ontario Elite Hockey league that compete for the allen cup and sanctioned by hockey canada
Shorsey filmed in sudbury ontario.. home of the sudbury wolves of the ontario hockey league
"We need you big boy"....Shoresy to JJ hit me
Nat's "it's not as much fun when your favorite player isn't playing" and "did it ever occur to you that I care more about YOU than winning?" got me too
@@saatvikam her "favorite player" line hit like a truck.
Pretty badass they all were on the same page in letting him play
Bravio. Better than land auction updates.
Didn't watch Shirsey. Will watch now.
Letterkenney had a limited run of Puppers beer. I have a Letterkenney Irish Shorsey jersey. I get some sort of comment everytime I wear it out.
I'm not sure if america has Season 3 on HULU yet but i took mine from the internets to watch all six. I also proudly pay for hulu to rewatch.
I find the acting a little bit robotic at times but I have really enjoyed it so far. Excited for season 4
Gord wasn't a good actor. I didn't mind though, it made it more funny.
Oddly, I think part of that is intentional. Off the ice isn’t the real world. The characters themselves are doing their best to play normal people. They are only really alive during games.
Figger It Oat
"go get one"
I've only watched a few episodes of season one and whatever clips since that I can on youtube but man it seems like a fun show, so spoiler me, I'm ready!
I enjoyed it. The concussion thing was bad though.
THG/TEG cross-over
Yeah so.
More Freezer Bros!
My wife asked how I would have ended it.... I said double ot shoresy takes a pass it the s!ot and one times it as he takes another bad hit. Lights start to go bright as he struggles back to his feet with a roaring sound deafining his ears. His head comes up to see the lit goal light and fade to black ala sopranos. Then we both cried a bit lol.
Love the jersey. Where did you get it?
Does this get covered on Entertainment Guy too?
I want to see Boomtown, Fisky, and the serious hockey players come back, and as for how long the show runs.... optimistically part 1 was 3 seasons so maybe the show runs to 9 seasons?
I think maybe 3 more seasons. If this first 3 seasons was 'the end of shoresy part 1', then there could be 3 more seasons to close his story out. So my guess is 6 total. Either way, I'll be very sad. This show is everything.
I really hope Netflix Sweden (eu/nordic or whatever) aren’t slow to adding season 3 for us to enjoy - I still have nightmares about the time like two full seasons of Brooklyn 99 went by before they added them for us to see. I rewatched seasons 1-3 so many times…
Yes, vpns exist I know.
Don't try to set it to US (or Canada I think) if you're trying to use a vpn to watch it on Netflix. In the US it's on Hulu, in Canada I think it's on Crave.
Pretty emotional last two episodes
Soyaso, Season 3 was pretty great
When Shoresy tells Fish he's never going to be there again "Ya fuckin' loser"
I think he meant, on the cusps of winning a national title. Shoresy is telling him he's never gonna get this chance again and if he doesn't step up right now he's going to have regrets his whole life.
We better get season 4 with active nhl players
*me* refreshing THG until there’s a game 7 preview cause my nerves are going insane, and don’t wanna watch spitting chiclets 😭
Tough line to walk between keeping the show real yet avoiding watering down the f-bombs by using them too often in the same way apologies become meaningless out of the mouths of the perpetually sorry. I think what made Braking Bad and Better Call Saul so good was the timing and richness of the profanity. Perhaps Shoresy could become richer in content and dialog through contrast; it definitely made good stabs at it by showing kids singing the national anthem but more is needed IMO. I guess that's the difference between a show and a documentary.
When the character's were arguing and competing about whos more 4-6, Shoresy looked more like 8-12 to me. He was looking pretty bad for just 4-6
Did you guys call yer parents yet?
BOLD PREDICTION...SHORESY COACHES CORY & LIAM ON BULLDOGS
Settle down.
But really, S3 was excellent.
Now that some European leagues are starting to use AI to help officials call penalties, how much do you think this will help the NHL when it comes here?
Settle down
Huh!?
I understand this show is a spinoff of something else. Having never seen it, can I just start watching it from episode 1 season 1 and not feel left out?
absolutely
When they were talking about how good he's on camera during the interviews, how he can talk hockey pretty well, I thought he was gonna become a commentator. With Shoresy becoming a coach where does Sanguinet goes? Does he become Assistant coach? Or goes up into management, even though i'm not sure what he would do to help Nath?
Appreciate that warning. First “hockey guy” video I’ve turned off as quick as I’ve turned on.
What is it on?
Hulu (US)/Crave (CA)
@@saatvikam thank you baby
@@saatvikam thank you miss 😏
He did get a third job offer to teach kids hockey. From a very handsome woman in his age range who looked like she wasn't going to take no for an answer. It could also be something he does part-time, like the refereeing.
😉
Huh?
You should save the fictional hockey for your other channel Shannon
