    For those wondering, I regret saying this was a cash in hand deal in this video… some of you lot got a bit touchy at this in the comments.
    As a reseller, I’ve learnt to never turn down a good deal if it is presented, I’m not going to say ‘No’ to them just because they wanted cash, we all go out to try and find deals, and have to pounce on them as & when they appear, I’m sure you have all done similar, I just loud mouth it all on RUclips. So always going to get a mixed reaction.
    Any future deals with this charity shop will all be bought through the charity, and I know they have tons for me, so stay tuned to see what I can get.
    Enjoy the content

    Yeah, 😂 I did that twice. Once all the goods I was buying dried up. Turned out she sold on eBay also, so as soon as she saw me buying, say blank VHS tapes, no more blank VHS tapes would be put out for sale. The second store just raised the prices of the stuff I bought by double or triple 😮

    Charity shops should not be discriminating towards those who choose to buy items to make a profit. They seem to forget that everything they receive has been donated for FREE and also need to remember that it’s donations which pay their wages. Several shops run by another charity I used to work for are now closing; probably due to managers who treat the shops like boutiques. Many of these shops are pointless and have little to offer as they keep all the best stuff out back or take it for themselves. True facts.

      Oh definitely I knew that why would they bring the absolute best stuff out when they can make the money for themselves,even though they aren't allowed what I was told before in one charity shop.

    I hate that when they ask whos it for what difference does it make if im reselling there still getting the money so shut up,we are probably the ones who do bring the money in the most to these charities and like another said they get it all for free and dont even do anything like cleaning the items for example, we do all they work they just sit there and it all comes to them for free.

    Hey wondered if you can help.
    I have a private ebay account and will change my other account that ive not used for a while to a business one as ive registered as a sole trader to sell mugs and coasters
    Also badges etc that will go in the party favours catagory so its 11.9% selling fee for those
    Is it just that selling feee and the 35p listing fee i need to pay and thats it?
    Just trying to work out if its worth it profit wise
    Postage i can still sent as 2nd class large letter 100g which should attract buyers more since first Q1 of this year its 100% mandatory to use tracked delivery with no opting out
    So anyone selling stuff via private account same as me going to have less chance of selling due to buyers fees and more expensive postage for the buyer

    • @Crest6680
      @Crest6680 6 часов назад

      My advice would be to stay on a private account as long as you can. On a business account you get charged 36p for listings (including auto relists) or £32 a month for basic shop, near £100 for medium shop after fees. Then you get charged 15-17% on all sales in fees.

    • @marklola12
      @marklola12 3 часа назад

      @@Crest6680 issue is ill get near zero sales, i am not willing to wait 14 days for money if i send as i usually do 2nd class delivery, and if i inflate the price to cover for tracked delivery noone will pay it for items that are £3.50
      what if on a business account say you list a item and put you have 20 quantity of them...will you get charged 36p per how many you have or just the one insertion fee for the 20...and then you can just maybe when it gets low if selling well review listing and add more to the quantity...would you get charged again as well for that

    • @VideoHero
      @VideoHero Час назад

      @@Crest6680 but when buyers see this month they have to pay an extra buyers fees on private seller purchases and not on business then private sellers will be cooked.

    I don't understand the attitude of these managers. Their job is to get money through the tills. I haven't bought from charity shops in a while but when I did, I had three that knew I was a reseller and would give me discounts for buying in bulk. I was putting hundreds of pounds in their tills every week and because of that they kept encouraging me to come and were always extremely helpful.

    • @jeremybourne7721
      @jeremybourne7721 8 часов назад +1

      Some of these managers hate us because when they see a reseller buying something it means they haven't done their job properly, they see everything we buy as a missed opportunity.

    • @debbiemorgan859
      @debbiemorgan859 8 часов назад +2

      @jeremybourne7721 I don't see how any sale is a missed opportunity, especially when it's an item you haven't paid for in the beginning, what is a missed opportunity is when you price something way to high for your market, it fails to sell and then gets thrown into a dumpster for landfill.
      It's better to sell 3 items for £10 each within 48 hours than to have one overpriced £30 item taking up shelf space for a month and then be thrown away.
