It says 0/40 or 40/40 (or whatever other number). First number is the troop space inside the castle, second number is cc max capacity. A 30/40 means 30 troop space being used in a CC that can hold 40. A 0/40 means empty CC
the first base is very poorly designed. It has all x-bows and mortars at the right side of the base so a flame flinger can destroy everything at the left.

You could have exploited the hole in the base and used your own super wizards in the hole, making so that you had a free siege machine

If you click cc then you can see troops storage how much it filled
