The abarth is a brilliant car for a 1.4 litre engine
ST looks the best, drives the best is the fastest and has a very big tuning potential. Thats why I also own a mk7 ST. They are such great cars

i raced a jcw in a fiesta, up to like 120 it's pretty even but after i was pulling away from it

true. definetly software or downhill. Fiesta makes like 19-20 sek. 100-200, Polo same.
They're reported as roughly 10 seconds quicker here than they really are. Zeperfs have excellent data from magazine reviews. You can see this video is full BS. Neither software nor downhill can explain these results, you need way more power to reach these numbers. Stock Fiesta 200 is 32.6 seconds 0-200 for example, and the others are very close.

they where all faster than they actually are 100-200, so I asume they tested it downhill...
Some definite unfair testing a polo gti and a mini jcw would destroy a fiesta st
It is because 6th gear in Polo and mini-copper is an over gear ratio to save fuel.
@@kieransvacs4545 well a mini jcw isnt the right oponent… and a gti has a dsg which helps ofcourse, but in terms of acceleration when they are locked in for example in 4th gear the fiesta st and the polo gti would be around the same. And destroy would be the wrong term because have you seen the dragrace on carwow? The st actually wins over the polo even though its manual and the gti has a dsg…
@@Gronkhsau a jcw mini was never designed to go against a fiesta it’s a more worthy opponent of a golf gti and focus st hence the reason I stated it would destroy the fiesta st which In the car wow drag race you was mentioning you see the accurate results but there’s one huge flaw in your analysis in the car wow video we see the new 1.5 litre fiesta st which is faster then the previous generation 1.6 litre that was in this video just like many people have said the fiesta st has never been able to achieve the statistics in this video if we compare the 2 vehicles the fiesta and polo from this video in a drag race im stock form I’m still fairly convinced the polo would leave the fiesta

Dopo i 100 km/h entrano in gioco altri fattori come la aereodinamica, non la pura potenza...la Fiesta nello scatto 0-100 e' la piu' lenta ! La 500 scatta bene, ovvio che dopo i 130 inizia ad essere meno rapida per via della aeredinamica meno favorevole!
Oltre al fatto la 500 in questo video è una 135cv e non 170 (versione inesistente tra l'altro)

In the video it is not a mini cooper jcw, it is an atmospheric mini cooper
a silly comparison. the abarth has a 1,4 lt engine while th polo has a 2,0lt engine. compare apples with apples.
but the abarth is also way lighter, so you need to keep that in mind
probably the weight/power rapport is similar to all cars
@@davidelancellotti8796 hi david. i did consider that. i drive a built turbo charged vehicle, and while power to weight ratios might be comparable, its the in gear acceleration thats favors the cars with the bigger engines.

The Abarth IS NOT IN SPORT MODE !!!!
The Abarth is in Sport mode. Before the current instrument package where the font changed to a bold Helvetica font on a completely different red chequered background, Sport mode used to be denoted by mere italicization of the standard font on the existing display. As is shown here.
I have an Abarh it's not in sport mode cos the speedometer changes display...I have an Abarh comp at 180hp
