      There is a magnet track underneath the road surface, the magnets are attached to the cars and when they move underground the cars move above it

      @@driving_xpov The only correct part in your explanation ist that there are magnets attached to the cars.
      Basically the whole track is a large multi layered circuit board and cars are moved by electronically controlled magnet fields.
      There's plenty of videos about it on the Miniatur Wunderland's official channel, e.g. ruclips.net/video/-MX09NzQAKE/видео.html
      There are also some views from underneath the track which give a nice impression of all the tech involved.
