- Is a Onewheel worth it? That's the fundamental question for so many folks who have seen Onewheels wiz by. Well ultimately it's a personal question and everyone uses their board differently but if you ask Onewheel owners this question, more often then not you'll hear that their board is one of their favorite things they own.
Ryland got his first Onewheel in 2018. He's now a full-time video editor for us and we thought, who better to make this video than someone who had to grapple with this very question.

I have had one for years now...there are very few objects that I can't even imagine not having in my life and this is one of them. I will NEVER not have a Onewheel ready to ride at any time.

Got a Pint X for Christmas and it’s all I have been wanting to do since then. In school, I’m looking at Onewheel videos and accessories, and when I get home I ride the thing until it dies, which is when I have to go home anywhere.
Careful, it can be addicting! We all have our vices tho.

Got a pint while it was on sale…worth every penny. Def gonna get a GT when I’m ready to upgrade.
Riding a one wheel has given me confidence. And it’s a great way to vibe after a stressful day of work. I take every opportunity I get to ride it. I have even let random strangers try it!

I live in a small town. I used to hop on a small motorcycle for quick errands but will hopefully get a one wheel as a replacement. Unfortunately my work requires towing a trailer most days.
I started on a pint and loved every minute of it. Just upgraded to a GT Its Amazing!!! So worth it.
Boom! More range and power can be major depending on what you like to get into

I escalated my way through the boards, starting with the Pint, then graduating to an XR, then to the GT, and ultimately to the GT-S.
I don't regret any of the purchases😅

Is it hard and inconvenient if I ride it for about 20 to 30 minutes?

Xr and gt changed my life but... if i was to do it all over again id go straight into fungineers products. You can build a board thats better than the gt for the same price

It opens up so much of the world to exploring! Also, I’ve learned when I ride anywhere within 2 - 3 miles I can get there faster than in my car… I ride 4 miles to work, 2 miles to class, etc, saves so much gas!

Since I’ve gotten into onewheel I’ve clocked over 14,000 miles and my car has barely enough to warrant an oil change
I would really like to own one.. but my countries restriction makes it really really hard for me, especially for the certifications. sad.

I highly recommend the Pint X. thats what I have, it has plenty of power, seriously, plenty. and it has a very respectable amount of range. ive gone over 13 miles multiple times here in pittsburgh and never had less than 15-18% battery left and I weigh over 200lb. its soooo fun too. I just got mine in like november 2023
Still debating between pint x or GT
@@kendawg619 it’s a tough choice. There are moments I wish I had a higher top speed. But I don’t regret my pint x purchase. I’m having a lot of fun on it
@@kendawg619 I guess what I would say is it depends on how you want to ride it. If you are going hard, doing tricks, trying to max out the power of your board, etc. get the GT. I like to joyride on trails and through the city. So the pint x is perfect for me. I don’t want to do anything that could damage my board
I'm usually city so I feel like the pint x would be a perfect fit for me tbh

@@lookforthegood1 well you can’t buy an xr anymore, and the pint x has a fat belly, the pint is an amazing platform and is the only platform that isn’t a full sized board which is nice to have a dedicated short range vehicle to keep in your car or leave at work or somethin
@@samguy7587 a fat belly? Sorry I don't understand what that means lol. If I were to choose pint over pinx it's pintx just for range and power alone. I get it's double the price but get a used pintx. I agree I like the small form of pints over xr and gts, and I'm a bigger guy.
@@lookforthegood1 yeah the pint x is the same style as the pint but they made the battery fit by making the battery box thicker on the bottom so the clearance is worse. At the same time the battery box is exposed at the bottom so you’d need to add a protective plate to cover it so it has even less clearance. If you just use pint bumper in the front and put a protective plate in the front it has the same clearance as a pint would but the rear is so fat in comparison it’s hard to stop quickly without dragging the tail
