Cradle cap is seborrheic dermatitis, caused by overgrowth and sensitivity to the same yeast that causes oily dandruff. Babies are probably just be extra sensitive to the yeast because their skin microbiome is still developping.
I just have to say your daughter is adorable. Congratulations! 🎉 When it comes to your hair you could have the best of both worlds go dark but have platinum and maybe peanut butter balayage streaks going on. That would be cute.

There is brand of baby shampoo called Happy Cappy that is basically anti dandruff shampoo that is a lot more gentle. It has worked wonders with n my daughter’s cradle cap! I just leave it on for a few minutes after massaging it in with one of those silicone face scrubbers. Use it like 3 times a week and keep using it like once a week after it is cleared up for a while.
Head and Shoulders sensitive is what got rid of my daughter's cradle crap lol specialist shampoos didn't.
my baby had the same issue as your second baby.
his was so bad it was like yellow crusted cradle cap and the only thing that worked was a baby cradle cap shampoo i found on amazon and it came with a comb highly recommend!
Hey friend in my head! Thanks for the video. I noticed some red looking splotches on my little ones scalp so maybe I’ll try that ointment that you were talking about. As for your hair, what if you did brown low lights… Drag it out to the mid shaft just a kind of deep in your base color and then maybe do a copper toner to see if you like it before you make the commitment (like an AA in shades eq… but also the Moroccan color line looks like it has some pretty cool shades. And then so does rusk.)
Also, sidenote, you should totally do a deep dive into Taylor’s discography. 1989 had some pretty awesome bangers that really surprised me like her writing is just so deep and impactful with the background of these really catchy and mainstream melodies and I’m like guys do you understand what you say? Oh my God she’s so smart .

I have five children and my second daughter had severe cradle cap. I used coconut oil because it’s a natural antifungal and just gently scraped layers off with a comb. TMI, I’m one of those weirdos who love popping pimples and thoroughly enjoyed the de-crusting process lol. 😂

So my daughter had cradle cap and her doctor said don’t put anything on it. I felt my baby with my Jamaican Mom and Auntie and came back to my baby covered in head to toe in olive oil. Cradle cap never came back. lol
Right! Old black grannies would mix castor oil with vaseline to soften it up. The vaseline was added to prevent the hair from drying out.
Yeah, yeast is fungus
Good thing babies get this only once.. We adults have to maintain it.
