What a sneaky way to get people to reveal their age. 40 is the new 30. You have to go no further than your backdrop for a run of three great albums. ✌

Great stuff Hanna, and I love the Who display. As far as having complete studio album discographies, mine are XTC, X, and 2 complete studio album cd box sets in The Doors and The Replacements. I have 14 albums from The Church but still have a ways to go. Would also eventually like to acquire all of Siouxsie's albums along with The Damned. My 3 album run choice would be The Suburbs: In Combo, Credit in Heaven, and Love is the Law. There's an ep wedged in there, but I won't count that. Or Snakefinger: Chewing Hides the Sound, Greener Postures and Manual of Errors. Enjoy your "slow" day at work. It's a pleasure seeing more videos from you lately.

    • @TheOmahaIntrovert

Hiya, Todd! Happy almost midweek to ya! I am still missing a few from the Church...like some from the 2000s era. I'm still missing one Siouxsie album but I will grab it on CD for my ranking and then I'll be complete. Love the Suburbs since I discovered them last year! I think there have been some recent Snakefinger reissues and have been meaning to grab some of their stuff as well. I'm complete on X. I'm just missing the last 2 records from XTC and only complete on the Jim Morrison-era Doors. I am missing some 90s and 2000s era Damned but have the essentials. ❤️ It's fun thinking about what I have and what I'm missing. Glad you're enjoying some more frequent content lately. I don't know if I will be able to continue at this pace but I can only do my best!

happy new year hanna! your wall of who is very mod & very cool & very impressive, my old vinyl collection before the flood had nearly all of these, starting with meaty beaty & i still remember the day i bought that & the first spin on my turntable that began the who obsession, all thanks to a cross country teammate that played a tape with the kids are alright one afternoon while we were stretching before a race. so many good memories & amazing journeys with this band, the records, & their huge songs! "there once was a note pure & easy, playing so free like a breath rippling by" "i'll sing my song to the wide open spaces, i'll sing my heart out to the infinite sea, i'lll sing my vision to the sky high mountains, i'll sing my song to the free, to the free!" 💗🎯💙🎤🤍🎸💗🎸💙🥁🤍🎹💗🔥⚡💥🙌✨

Happy 40-FORTY-11110 THIS YEAR :D LOVE THE WHO WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoyed your Vinyl tag. Siouxsie and the Banshees is my fave 80's act. Tinderbox is my favorite album by them. LANDS END is amazing!!!!! I had that one on repeat in 1986 and 1987, that tour was amazing! Siouxsie is doing a show in the UK. I keep asking for a new album. I saw Siouxsie and the Banshees 4 times in concert and The Creatures twice. I missed her solo shows. Can't wait for the new album by THE CHURCH. LOL I was going to post HEYDAY to my Instagram. The first single off the new album was okay I guess. KATE BUSH is amazing. I'm so old I got into her in 1978! Complete on her, though never saw her LIVE since she doesn't tour. She toured UK some years back. I don't have Cranberries on vinyl only CD. I was shocked when Andrew Fletcher's passing. I look forward to their new album even though I was disappointed with SPIRIT.

Hi Robert! Thank you! I'm dreading turning 40 but it's just a fact o' life! Oh yes, I think I commented on another's post down below that I really love that closing track off Tinderbox, Lands End, as well. It's incredible. I look forward to seeing the footage from their show this year. What an exciting announcement! Still working on my Siouxsie ranking. I am missing Superstition and don't even have it on CD so I will pick up a used CD of it for the collection for now. I need to track down a better vinyl copy of Peepshow in the future, too. I haven't quite finalized that list but it's fun to work on it!
I saw you posted Heyday on your IG! Such a stunning record.
Wow, I didn't know that Kate Bush doesn't really tour.
Yeah, Spirit by DM was a bit more disappointing and I don't return to it very often, to be honest. I much preferred Delta Machine. Hoping that Memento Mori which comes out in March will be a winner! However, I try not to shun any DM! ❤️

Hiya Hanna, Oh wait until you reach 50 and them some 🤪 I remember you were a baby when I first met you here in RUclips, lol. It’s just a number! You’re young at heart. Oh really, a Siouxsie and the Banshees ranking! AWESOME as you kids say today. I rank those albums in my head many times. I have my OG Peepshow , Superstition. ( Superstition original is difficult to come by but there is always the reissue, I don’t buy reissues of 80’s albums) Yeah I’ve always loved how Lands End builds up to that amazing Siouxsie climax. Same goes for 92 degrees and This Unrest. Love the extra tracks on the CD version. If I see those albums around I’ll let you know. But I will sent you Wall Of Voodoo. I don’t know if you still have my address. I We’ll exchange addresses on Instagram. We’ll chat more later. Dinner time. I really love your music set up. 😎

I hate crowds but still go to as many concerts by my favorite acts as I can. Thankfully I am more of a night owl.
Yeah. Jonathan Richman does have the occasional great song after The Modern Lovers album. But he rejected that sound and hasn't returned to it. It is a Top 10 album for me!
Wonderful to see you pick Hex Enduction Hour as one of your most listened to. I am loving seeing your Fall journey "Heeee is not...appreciated"
You are still a youngster. My musical age group is - Kurt Cobain, Liz Phair & your own Juliana Hatfield.
Not huge on soundtracks but 80s would have to be the Repo man soundtrack!

Wish I could have seen the Modern Lovers. Love Amy Winehouse's album "Back To Black." I need to get some of The Fall vinyl back. You cannot go wrong with any Siouxsie, particularly "Tinderbox," "Hyaena" and "Peepshow." Have you heard The Creatures' records? I LOVE them! Kate Bush is brilliant. Hey Hanna !!
I’m really digging The Who wall behind you. My favorite band…and yours too I know…
I recently got an archive live album from them recorded at the Fillmore in early ‘68.
(“Live at The Fillmore East 1968”…released 4/20/2018 )
They were on the Sell Out tour and it is fascinating getting to hear them at this time just before Tommy. They did an extended version of “Relax” and a side long “My Generation” that shows them a full 2 years before Live at Leeds and how they got from short songs to epic length versions. I highly recommend it. !!

"Head Over Heels" is probably my no. 1 album of all time. I heard it (what was played from it) on John Peel's BBC World Service show in Nov - Dec 1983; he played half of the LP, including Musette and Drums, My Love Paramore and Sugar Hiccup. The guitar solo on Musette and Drums remains to this day the greatest guitar solo I've heard; when I first heard it, I thought I had never heard anything like that before.💯

It doesn't matter how you discover an artist it's just the fact that the music touches you in some way. So I've been thrilled seeing a bit of a Kate Bush resurgence through Stranger Things. My daughter has been obsessed with Running Up That Hill and playing it on repeat. Being a Kate fan since the 80s it's been pretty special being able to share a little bit of that with her. Very cool to see you show Faust IV. Krautrock has been a focus for me the past several years and I still haven't found that one which is essential. Stay well!

Happy New Year, Bill! Thank you! Hope all is well with you and your family! Yes, I remember you always being a Kate Bush fan! I haven't warmed up to all of her stuff and taking baby steps, but those 2 albums I showed here I did connect with the most! As far as Krautrock, I really only have this one by Faust, Can's Tago Mago on CD, and Neu's '75 but I feel that's a good start. I'm sure I'll be adding more into the collection later down the road! I hope you are able to find Faust IV. I will keep an eye out and let you know if I find another reissue like this one! Cheers, Bill!

You're the second person who said they've listened to Cocteau Twins the most. You with an album and the other with artist. They probably would be mine if Pharoah Sanders hadn't died and I played his albums for a month or more.

I honestly don't remember who the other Cocteau listener was. I've watched over a dozen of these tag videos. Trying to keep up with Rob I guess. One guy managed to make his video only 3 minutes long. Amazing! I'm off to a decent New Year. I imagine your weather isn't any better than here. We need precip but not every day!

Do pick the one's you ĺike rather than me send it to you blind. Bty, watch Slade in Flame, it's on RUclips. Great band performance and you get to see how England looked like in the 70s. Cheers J.C.

Hi Bruce! Thank you! I don't think I've gotten to cataloguing my Who in Discogs yet. I have both mono and stereo original copies of Who Sell Out, as well as a mono reissue from a year or two ago on orange vinyl. I think my mono original copy is a UK issue. Cheers!

Kate Bush has long evaded me as well, don't feel bad... even when her song "Running up that Hill" was all anyone would talk about from Stranger Things, I still wasn't sold on her... I recently saw a music video of hers of her debut single "Wuthering Heights" and it was such a peculiar song and video... I think I sorta get her now. She pushes that boundary of art pop since the 70's, that's why she is so admired.

    • @TheOmahaIntrovert

The best is The Who discography and Pete Townshend solo behind Hanna. Another great video as usual and the debut album by The Cranberries is one of my favorite albums from the 90's that makes me have fond memories of that time. By the way, happy B-Day in advance for your 40th birthday in 2023 and happy new year! You and Chris come to Brazil. It's summer in South America. Thanks and until next time. Cheers!
