Tom this is wonderful. I just developed a roll pushed one stop. I LOVEEEE these photo you took. 1:17 is magic.Following. I've to do a video on HP5 over on my channel.
You remind me in every one of your vlogs why I went back to shooting film. Nice to have some visual and emotional sanity. I've just been looking through some Facebook photography groups (that I will never belong to) and quite frankly my eyes hurt. So much technicolor up chuck, thousand of likes but no soul.
Superb again Tom. I've taken a few images of "Leaning Shower of Sennen". It's great that you manage to find different images each time you visit these places.
Another Great vlog Tom, was out and about with my F100 today with some primes and HP5 at box speed..it’s odd how some shots you can see that it’s been pushed, others you can barely tell. Likewise needed to get out after it finally stopped raining today to blow the cobwebs away!!
Some absolute belters in there mate. I liked how sometimes the grain went too much for me in some and then suddenly it worked well with a different image
Thanks very much Graeme I was surprised too how much the grain varied in the images. It’s seems much better on close up subjects and heavier on the wider landscapes. All the best Tom 🙏
I've just recently bought an olympus om1 as my first film camera (it's actually my first "serious" camera in general) and I started with b&w. Of all the videos I've seen on youtube yours are definitely the best, and your photos are fantastic. I must also say Cornwall looks really beautiful and peaceful, sure would like to visit some day. Wish you all the best from Italy
You keep bringing the goods, Tom. Love seeing you cruise around with 35mm film. You seem much freer to capture quicker photos, compared to when you've got your mamiya. Great video, stunning captures!
The grain gives it almost a pointilism vibe. Really moody. Love your "heavier print" style (it probably is just a scan :) ) I used to love printing about 20% harder than a standard print would have, often giving it a harder grade paper too.
Nothing unusual here. I've often pushed HP5+ two or three stops. The results are always fantastic. I did it back in the days before digital and I did it recently at a live concert at my local pub.
Love all your vids always very inspiring. You always seem to have a good set of outerwear as well. Usually half way through one of your videos I'm wondering where you bought your trousers.
Thanks Andrew I would love to publish a book one day it’s just not financially possible at the moment. A zine would be a great idea though. All the best Tom 🙏
The backlit images of the railings, grasses, and the ending images of the chalets were really nice. Timeless looking.
Thanks very much Wendy 🙏
Wonderful place, music and photos of course! Thank you very much for sharing!
No problem thanks for watching 👍
Very nice indeed. A couple of real gems in there too.
Thanks very much 🙏
fantastic stuff as always!
Thanks you 🙏
Beautiful!!

I kept thinking there's a beaut shot at the end of Lookout Point but at 6;19 you bagged it, nice. Good little vlog as per usual Tom. 👍
Thanks for watching Sid 🙏

Really amazed by your videos. The amount of effort you put in is very much appreciated!
Thanks very much its a pleasure.

Thank you, it’s definitely very unpredictable how much grain you get but I don’t mind that. Happy shooting mate 👍
Grain like a Foma 400 or more. Lovely frames Tom, as usual...
Thanks very much I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍

Nice shots. I always have a Nikon SLR with a nice bright 50mm lens loaded with HP5@1600 at hand. Makes for perfect any-time-any-light photography!
Thank you, It’s a lovely combination I will definitely shoot it again 👍
Nice video - I would have went with Ilford Delta 100 for these shots - but you've gotten great results with what you have.

Thanks very much, the Olympus om1 is a beautiful camera, I’m sure you will get some fantastic images with it.
Many thanks Tom 🙏

Great video, stunning captures!
Thanks Peter It’s so much easier and definitely more enjoyable. The only downside is the quality from 35 mm is not as good.
All the best Tom 🙏

Yeah I do love a moody print with heavy grain it ads so much character to the image. Thanks for watching.
All the best Tom 🙏

Fantastic I bet you got some great images.
All the best Tom 🙏

some great image, never shot HP5 at 1600, must give it a try!
Thanks Sebastian it’s definitely worth trying, thanks again 👍

Another great video, you should have way more subscribers.
Are you thinking of doing a book or a zine?
Thanks

Great vid and awsome shots, can i ask what you are developing in? And how long for, out of interest.
Hi thanks for watching, I develop in Rodinal at 1.25 👍
@tomwhelan very kind.
Hi Tom
Have you got any new Film Photography videos coming soon?:)
Hi Graham I’m hoping to get back to the video making in the next month or two. I’ve just needed a bit of a break. See you soon Tom 😊
