    So i finally got this setup to work properly. One VERY IMPORTANT note: In order to get a cleaner sound while soloing etc. AFTER you've recorded your loop, you should turn of the S/R block on the NUX. That way, you have everything you recorded coming from the Trio+ and your current soloing/jamming ONLY coming from the Nux!

    I recently have been looking for "inspiration" to practice guitar. Watched a few of your vids on this pedal i never heard of until a couple of days ago. I use to search youtube for backing tracks to play along to. But I just received the trio+ today and tested it out and I gotta say...i love everything about it! The ability to hear back an accompaniment thats made to what i played is very "A.i." ish. And allows me to sink into my own world of sonic fun. Wish i heard about this pedal years ago! I think for beginners it's humbly perfect for getting yourself in a pocket while learning new chords or transfer the bass lines to a keyboard "physically playing them to build a mix. Its great! Thanks for your tips.

    I bought MG30 because of your videos and oh boy how glad i'm now. Thank you. MG30 is everything i could ever wanted: tube high gain/ vintage amps, all the famous overdrive pedals, nice effects etc. It's got everything and it sounds soooo warm and nice. This is from a guy who has JCM800 and mesa boogie head with a mesa 2x12 cab at home. Now i use MG30 into my mesa head loop in all the time now.

    Thanks for the tutorial. You are like a Professor with this stuff. I finally got this setup to work with my AXE IO Solo Guitar Interface. Luckily this particular AXE interface has a second input on the back. So I was able to connect Amp and Mixer from Trio+ to the 2 inputs on the AXE Interface. And it's critical to turn ON the Send/Return on the MG-30 for every effect you switch to. I think it defaults to Off on the effects and you need to turn S/R On every time you switch to another effect. Then just click Save on each effect you want to use and the Send/Return will stay ON. Thanks again man... you are a Life saver on how to hook up and use the Trio+, MG-30 and everything else under the Sun 🍻

    Hello Pedal Guy, your videos are really good. I have a question, instead of the TRIO+, as you have set up in this video, could you put 2 or 3 pedals online, for example mod, delay and reverb, either a Chase Bliss Dark World, for example? I am looking to generate many options of layers of textures for ambient music, without dispensing with the MG30, given that the guitar solos would go on those textures. Thank you so much.

For example are the cabinet simulation and IR patches included or bypassed when connected to FX Send?

  • @stoneyrunva

    I have the original Digitech Trio without the looper(plus). I resolved this by adding a tiny 4 channel mixer to my pedalboard and taking the mixer into one channel and the amp signal to another. This affords me individual volume controls in one place and delivers clean bass and drums. Additionally, It lets me use just one cable from my pedal board for all signals while maintaining the clean separation of drums and bass from strings.

If I record a loop using say a rhythm guitar effect and then I want to change the effect to a lead guitar sound will the loop continue to play using the rhythm guitar tone or will it also change over to a lead guitar sound? Great instructional videos BTW.

When using for playing live, the only way I've come up with is to teach and record bar for bar and since each part can take 48 bars not a problem. The problem is my wife lead singer, and rhythm guy don't like having to do the songs the same way twice ..I said, you mean like in a real band? If we go out of sync, Trio might finish before us or keep playing after we're finished. Other than learning to count, is there something I've been missing? Thanks and Cheers!

    Am I right here- basically the same process of connection if using a pod go, instead in my case I'm using a catalyst amp power amp in to bypass pre amp block of amp so with line 6 pod go, trio plus band creator and line 6 amp while still having the pod go IR's instead of catalyst preamp block it'll be signal in order...
    Guitar to trio guitar in>
    Trio fx send to pod go guitar in>
    Pod go main out (monoleft) to trio fx return>
    Trio amp out to catalyst fx return switched to power amp in,
    Trio mixer out to mixer/audio interface for drums and bass separate from guitar.
    Thus allowing clean input to teach trio band,
    Fx loop on trio can be on or off on looper side further allowing layer of overdubs in any fashion you like, ie-
    Clean rythum after band is taught with dirty tone with other fx as overdubs or just freestyle.
    Also the fx loop on the pod go I have a
    Jhs 3 series compressor to boss od-200 pedal then a tc electronic Gauss tape echo delay which can be toggled on or off- it's awesome!
    With the added benefit of stereo option and xlr out of catalyst to audio interface direct to daw.
    I need more inputs on my daw fir microphone- ok easy!
    Pod go can plug directly to pc and be used as an audio interface! Havnt tried that yet though, not sure if the scarlett 2i2 3rd gen Audio Interface will override the usb or where to choose the input, I'm not sure if it is either or in this case, yes I know I can select the input in each channel in cakewalk, but there's no USB INPUT connection on the scarlett interface, so would the pod go amp out be an option if I bought a mixer to get more channels?
    Will the amp out and main out sound the same using same preset on pod go?
    Km running out of cables.. but it's soo much fun right now so vocals can be added after. I was just thinking about acoustic recording with direct in and mic'd

    Thank you for this video! I have this very setup with my Trio+ and the MG30, but I don’t have a mixer and go direct to the FX return of my amp (an Orange Micro Dark). But I get a lot of hum if I go from the Trio+ amp output, so I use the headphone output with a 1/8“ to 1/4” adapter, which works fine. I can’t figure out why I have the hum with the amp output…high quality shielded instrument cables, and I’ve checked every power plug and whatever I do it won’t go away. Do I need to use a mixer? That’s off camera here so I don’t quite understand that routing. Thanks!

    • @ThePedalGuy
      @ThePedalGuy  2 года назад +1

      Not sure why you would get the hum. It could be an AC issue but it sounds like you've already done this. I used the mixer as a means to capture the performance for the video but the routing is simple. TRIO Mixer out to a single channel on the board. Same goes for the TRIO Amp output. The MG-30 is routed to a stereo pair of inputs on my board and that's it. Nothing fancy. Hope that helps.

      @professordeb 2 года назад +1

      @@ThePedalGuy I see, thank you! But why do you *also* route the output from the MG30 to the mixer?
