I bought my Renegade Trailhawk in 2019 (brand new) and it has been one of the most trouble free vehicles I have ever owned. I would heartily recommend this to anyone.

I have a 2015 Renegade Trailhawk. 6 years and 73,000 miles later, it's still the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. And I'm one of those "low percenters" who actually uses this sort of vehicle off-pavement. No squeaks. No rattles. Nothing has broken.

I first saw a photo of this car back in 2014. I just liked the looks of it. It looked “cute” to me. Then in March 2015 I test drove one and I thought it was very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. I have a very bad back so this is important to me. I ended up buying one and have been loving it ever since! I’ve had very few problems as well. Just make sure you do your scheduled maintenance and oil changes. Now that Lil’ Red is paid off I might as well hang on to her!

Nice review, but I wish you had gone into more detail on the cargo area with the seats folded down. Specifically, do the seats fold flush with the cargo area? Can you lay back the front seat to get in longer items? It's frustrating to me that so many manufacturers don't design the interior better to provide a large, flat cargo area with the seats folded down.

The back seats has armrest and cups holder. No spare tire, you have to buy that separate. They are worth more in 2023 for this vehicle 🚗.

FYI. Before you purchase a Jeep Renegade it will not have a spare tire kit (spare tire, jack, lug wrench). If you try to purchase a spare tire you can only get them through a Mopar/Jeep dealer or parts outlets. But they are on backorder until late 2021 or early 2022. We have a 2020 Jeep Renegade Latitude and I searched the internet, called tire outlets, junk yards and a few Jeep/Mopar dealers and the kits are on backorder through the dealers and Mopar parts. So for the time being I'm going to by a regular size tire and aluminum rim to have as a spare. I'm going to get them from Discount Tire or Big O. I might even check out a Llanteria for a used tire and rim..

My renegade don’t do as good as my grand Cherokee did but does better than my 96 wrangler ever could. Even with it lifted and 35x12.50. They’ve came a long way with off road capabilities. But I don’t think anything could ever beat my grand Cherokee. All of my Jeep’s were lifted over 3 inches.

I own a 2016 Jeep Renegade and this is the most troublesome car I have ever owned! I have this in the shop at least every 3 months and not for regular maintenance. I’ve had to replace the electronic parking break, my dual panel sun roof was stuck open had to get that replaced. My renegade almost caught on fire because a fuse caught on fire in the fuse box, had to replace the fuse and cooling fan. There are many other things I’ve had to replace on it. I’m getting rid of this piece soon. I would 10/10 recommend this to no one. If I didn’t have the extended maintenance package that covers major repairs I would not have this vehicle anyone.

I feel ya. I don't recommend the Renegade. drove 80,000 Kms (in 5 years) and had, my turbo blew, oil pump o ring leak, transmission leak, and Sun Roof break Open.. The Roof costing $22,000 in parts alone before losing the car for two days. luckily Jeep Australia helped here, but took 5 months to actually get fixed. The language would change to Italian almost once a week. and it breakdown 7 times, while driving randomly and the errors would tell the dealership nothing so they didn't know whats wrong with it.

i bought a renegade in 2017 new thinking it would last me 10 years. 3 years later the transmission went just when all the warranties had expired. Around $5k to replace. They are junk.

Compared to the 2004 Xterra with four-wheel drive and a five-speed manual that I used to have, my 2015 Renegade Trailhawk is a freakin' rocket ship and gets two times better MPG on long road trips while being surprisingly good off-pavement.

Anyone considering this or the Compass with the 2.4 engine really needs to Google “2.4 Tigershark oil consumption”. Seriously, avoid this engine. I haven’t read anything negative about the optional 1.3 turbo aside from it not being very fuel efficient and it needing premium gas.

Not to be a snob but Jeep reminds me of those "You're lucky you're hot" people. Jeep has absolutely no substance they just rely on their name and history to sell cars. No innovation no creativity. For regular car consumers the funky shape and bright colors alone will get people buying. But issa no from me.
