I mean, the scenery on the way there was mindblowing enough! I always feel serenity when I watch these videos! No way I can afford this myself, but I enjoy the videos nonetheless!
I love that it’s in the middle of nowhere. It’s great to disconnect and unplug. No road noise, no skyscrapers. My only critique is that the room decor is a bit austere.
I've seen many pictures online of Amangiri but your video just captures the tranquility and the beauty of the place. It feels otherworldly but still very much accessible given that it's in the continental US. It's now definitely on the bucketlist!!
I sometimes forget just how beautiful our American desert can be. This hotel manages to provide every comfort while keeping the focus on the magnificent surroundings. I found it very welcoming and inviting despite the stark minimalist design.
I don't know....to my eye, it just seems like a VERY well appointed, uuummm, prison, with all that exposed concrete. I'm sure it was very nice staying there and scenery is spectacular. I certainly won't turn down an opportunity to stay there. It just looks like a bunker that the Germans built during WWII.
This would not be my choice, sorry. I would want to go to a beautiful resort by the Ocean or water 🌊💦. This is very beautiful, just always like looking out towards the Sea. Absolutely beautiful music in your video though. I love your videos, so beautiful and relaxing.
Servus. Zugegeben, das Hotel ist schon ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber die Location ist der absolute Hammer! Was für eine Erhabenheit!! Gruß aus München.
I was well familiar with Amangiri but this was the first extensive tour I've seen of the resort. The rooms seem small and many of the walkways are a bit claustrophobic, but I love the architectural orientation toward the amazing views everywhere you go. Simply stunning. The food choices and presentation are nothing short of 3 star Michelin level. The pool built around that rock formation is unreal. What a unique lux resort experience.
Had been waited for this episode for weeks, I guess visitors should really love the landscape around tje hotel, and also should get a good use of its facilities as they can during their stay. I guess only expert would embrace all different luxury hotels around the world and show ordinances there are luxury hotels in exotic places, thank you Expert ❤
All that beautiful stone in the area and they had to pour bland, lifeless, cold concrete. Extremely unappealing. I've been through that desert and it is not just grey. They missed the mark on that one. Approaching the property, it looked like a prison. And the water dripping from the two bare pipes in the stairwell on the way to the room seemed really cheap. They could have made that look a lot neater. I love the desert, but even if I could afford to stay there, I wouldn't.
I enquired about the music credits, on a previous video, they replied its from a music library called. Epidemic Soundscape, or something like that, I've searched and still don't know who the composers are , Antarctica is also amazing soundtrack, happy trails.@@sdaniel5584
Oh how I would love to stay here, some comments say it’s not luxury but to me it is the epitome of gentle unfussy beauty, enhancing the fantastic scenery but merging into the background.
I do like a minimalist approach to luxury and i do like industrial design. But this place follows too much the style of brutalism and feels empty. I would wish for more texture and warmth. I guess, thats what they were aiming for.
I love it and I suppose they are trying to fit in to the desert - but I understand what you are saying. I also think sometimes these places are so small they seem empty - I like a bit of a bustle myself so I could sit and chat. I must say at night with the lighting etc the resort takes on a more warm feel that is outstanding.
I‘m not into minimalism anymore - lacks individualism and soul, but in this case it matches magnificently with the serenity and scarcity of the surrounding desert landscape.
Yes, it is an excellent place. However, I am not a fan of the concrete walls. They remind me of the construction of the lesser-advantaged area of Phoenix, AZ, in the 1970s-a kind of desert brutalism. But then again, I guess I have been spoiled for this. We have owned some spectacular homes in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area that rivaled any resort one could find. At one of our houses at the Estrella Mountain, there was a tarantula that lived in my front yard. I would go out at 3 am and have conversations with it. It actually seemed to be listening. The scorpions were less engaging. They would more than likely sting you if you got too close. The only snakes I ever saw were in the pool. Yeah, this resort has a great setting. I love the desert. Being afraid of heights, you will never find me doing your athletic feats. Congratulations on your adventure.
Excellent. Love the concrete design of the building and rooms. Stay there in a heart beat. Two suggests: my partner and I are always trying to work out what you’ve actually ordered for meals (after reading the menu) and many times it’s hard - we often debate and rewind back to the menu - maybe subtitle what you have. Second - I didn’t see the amenities in the room? Was there a mini bar, tv, coffee making facilities etc or did I miss that?

This was fun to watch and I'm so glad you liked it so much. Thank you again and I look forward to more wonderful videos.
Stunningly beautiful modern architecture rises majestically from the desert landscape, blending concrete, water, and timber in a harmonious symphony of design. The stark contrast of sleek concrete structures against the vast, arid expanse creates a captivating visual spectacle. Architectural marvels seamlessly integrate elements of water, reflecting pools shimmering under the desert sun, offering a serene oasis amidst the harsh environment. Timber accents add warmth and texture, contrasting with the rugged surroundings while providing a sense of natural balance. Each element, meticulously crafted and thoughtfully arranged, contributes to an awe-inspiring composition that celebrates the marriage of contemporary design and the timeless allure of the desert. just fantastic
There’s a reason Joseph Wood Krutch, Mary Hunter Austin, & (most notably) Edward Abbey built legendary careers extolling the beauty & virtues of America’s Desert Southwest. Actually, this looks as if Antione Predock‘a Art Museum at Arizona State University was relocated to Carefree, Cave Creek, or even Tortilla Flat, Arizona. Anyway, yet another great video. I was in love with this place until you arrived at your room. So tiny! Smallest "king size" bed I've ever seen in the USA, pressed between desk and couch. The "welcome amenities" (green apples) are outrageous for that price range!
The bed is actually pretty big in person. It looked smaller I reckon because of the concrete wall (can't recall how they call it) at the foot of the bed. Also, the arrival amenity is actually the few select bite-sized desserts in the middle of the coffee table. The reason why there are green apples there is because there are green apple trees around the property, mostly in the mesa side courtyard. Also for the price range, I would say it's pretty decent compared to other Amans as Amangiri is an all-inclusive resort so you'll only have to pay for alcohol, spa treatments and excursions/experiences.
It is very stark, which mirrors the desert, and I would be longing for color when I left. Still it would be a pleasure to stay there and relax.. and the food looked amazing. Lovely video.
With current rates at $3,850 per night, I can say with confidence that it definitely is not worth it. In Utah??🤷♀️ Yet and still as usual on this channel, this was such a soothing video to watch. Thanks for sharing!
I thought it had a David Koresh/WACO feel about it. It would appear that scorpions, lizards, and rattlesnakes could easily enter your room. It doesn't seem to be friendly to anyone who was physically disabled. Was there even a bar fridge in the room? "Phenomenal" isn't even close to describing this cold and desolate Soviet Union inspired monolith. I really don't get most of the comments posted, but then I look at the "likes" versus views. $3850./night? LOL
Christ, well overpriced, very nice yes but never luxurious, simple unfinished concrete is so so simple and cheap to build. Yes lovely view but that's all ,
Never American top luxurious hotel, just a plain concrete shell , looks unfinished to be honest. Never worth nearly 4k a night, lovely peaceful location and view but that's all .bedroom looks awful, two showers to soak the complete room pain in the arse.
Wow!! Monastery meets prison. We understand everyone has different tastes. Art is an individual reaction. Not everyone feels flowers and greenspaces are beautiful (they would be wrong). We realize they didn’t want to detract from the natural bleak look of the mountains, so they de-emphasized the resort with unfinished concrete walls without the beauty of natural stone or brick or marble. It’s too bad you couldn’t photograph any wildlife. To call this place “Most luxurious hotel in the USA (PHENOMENAL!)” is sad. There are many beautiful mountainous regions in America that are not so bleak, such as the Grand Canyon or Sedona or Waimea Canyon, etc. They have rivers, streams, waterfalls, flora and fauna, and beauty all around. And we do not find sitting next to the driveway in the hot sun peaceful or relaxing.
That pool is stunningly beautiful!! There is a simple elegance about this place, for sure. But, I have to agree with others who think there was just too much concrete! And it would have been more aesthetically pleasing if more wood or natural stone were incorporated. And more Navajo art throughout. It would be nice and interesting if at night around the fire pit, if there was a native storyteller or shaman to talk about legends and life and spirit. Outstanding video, once again, dear LTE!!
The American southwest is one of the most hauntingly beautiful places on earth.
