  • I had to do some work on my old faithful Weber kettle. In this video I replace the ash sweep to get some more life out of my grill plus smoke a nice pork tenderloin!
    Rub Recipe:
    Kosher salt - 1 tbsp
Course black pepper - ½ tbsp
    Garlic Powder - 1 tbsp
    Onion Powder - ½ tbsp
    Paprika - 1 tbsp
    Brown sugar - ½ tbsp
    Red pepper - pinch

Glad to see you revived the Weber! Man that sauce looks to be awesome. Got to hit up the local market for some supplies and whip up a batch for this weekend:)

    Another awesome video sir!
It’s funny, I started my Weber kettle/charcoal journey in August 2020. Your video on kettle basics was the first one I watched!
I went through a phase where I had to have all the gadgets but have found my groove is just using the cheap baskets.
I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge. Your online class is a treasure trove of info!🙏

I think I used the same repair for my Weber, I used a Dremal to cut the old rusted parts out. But easy peasy, the new one went right in like you did it.

Yeah, I have had to replace the ash sweep in my kettle. Cake to install. Probably the same one you got. I also had to replace the handle on top of the lid a bit back, but that wasn't a defect, it was from various people (self included) dropping the darn thing and the handle getting bent out of shape. Other than that, the real maintenance expenses on the thing over 7+ years of consistent use have been hardly worth mentioning.

Hey brother, can you add the ash sweeper blades as an update to an older webber that has only bottom air vents that also act as clean outs?

How did you add the extra thermometer to your kettle?

You can order them from Amazon and you just drill a small hole in the lid. You the insert the probe end and tighten a wing nut. Should cost around $10.
