I really don't understand, according to what logic cote light novel and some other titles got anime adaptations of the 2nd season while this great anime didn't. I really enjoyed watching it, would be happy if they announce 2nd season.

They aired at the same time too. As they were airing I prefered Asterisk War but now I prefer Cavalry hands down. Dude rising above his lot in life and becoming stronger > dude who's naturally strong. Romance story > half-assed harem story. Etc
And yet, Asterisk got 2 seasons and Cavalry only one.
